Birthdays are weird. When you're a child, you feel like you've leveled up – actually achieved something. Why shouldn't you? Age is a huge part of a kid's identity after all. Furthermore, if everything lines up just right, others acknowledge that achievement too. Parties at school. Gifts. Wishes. You feel special.

This week's episode was about a popstar who'd been bullied and manipulated by her manager. Over time, Ra Ra had grown to doubt her own self-worth, but it was her love of charity that finally showed her the light, and the realization that it was a love her manager did not share.
This week, the funniest episode of the entire series happened off screen.
I guess you just had to be there.

Today is Veterans Day, and the 97th anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I. It was my hopes to have Chapter 22 of The Hooves of Fate complete by today and ready for publication. Those of you who have been following the story know that this adventure has been heavily influenced by World War I. It would have been nice to draw that adventure to a close on the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, but I failed in that goal.

FUN FACT: Before 2010, when My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic first aired, there was no such thing as the Sun or the Moon. Without the sunlight necessary for photosynthesis, there were no plants and no farms. We humans survived on a diet of rocks, and sometimes resorted to cannibalism when we got bored.
Recently, a man brought a tuba to Ku Klux Klan march. He followed them throughout the entire thing, making ridiculous oom-pah-pah cartoon music to the rhythm of their march. The end result was that, what was intended to be a show of force, was made farcical. It’s not hard to make Kluxers look ridiculous, but this went above and beyond.
