It is, though it's also a prequel to The Life and Times of a Winning Pony--there's a split in continuity around chapter four that makes it a viable precursor to both stories.

Well while I have rated I have yet to comment, but I do want to say I am enjoying it, I like the pacing you've given the story and the... fish out of water elements are a really nice touch as Derpy adjusted to all these things she simply didn't know. Some thing I can relate to from when I moved out into my own place. All thou I hope it's not a prequel to your other story changes which I will admit made me very sad and cry a bit.
