I love G5's set pieces and character designs (possibly with the notable exception of Sparky), the music is pleasant but workmarelike, and the writing could still use some retooling. A.J. Bridel is doing a superior Pipp to Sofia Carlson's. Ms. Carlson wasn't doing anything wrong, as such, but Bridel is choosing "adolescent influencer Rarity" rather than Carlson's "teen pop idol" and I am all for that. It feels truer to the character concept. Fight me.
