First of all, I'd like to give a warm 'hello' to all my new followers. Welcome to my world of randomness.

I was not expecting Pinkie Pie's Last Nightmare Night to be as popular as it is, to be perfectly honest—that completely blindsided me. I'd like to give a shoutout to my pre-readers, metallusionismagic and AShadowOfCygnus, for helping make it what it was.

One-Shot-Ober II

Dr. Horse
Originally planned as a dark comedy, this one drifted closer to sad as I wrote it. Some of my readers may have noticed that there's a bit of a schism between Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara in this story; I built upon that in Diamond Tiara Dies Alone. Now would be the time to confess that these stories haven't all been written in the order they were published. I'm pretty sure this was written before DT Dies Alone.

One-Shot-Ober post 1 · 5:56am Oct 5th, 2014

Happy One-Shot-Ober!

Today is the fifth of October, which happens to be my brother's birthday! He's, like, 35 or something, and yesterday he stopped working for The Man and became an independent contractor.

It's also two weeks until show time. I'm not panicking yet, although I probably should be.

Behind the scenes stuff!

A big thanks to my prereaders, Metalluisionismagic and AShadowOfCygnus!
(who were probably wondering how long it would be before I published)

I used several pieces of railroad slang in the story: went for beans is a railroad expression for leaving to eat, and old heads are experienced railroaders. I also considered using the more familiar 'iron horse' for the locomotive, but since it replaces a team of ponies. . .

Onto the Pony Planet--Chapter 18 Notes · 12:29am Sep 30th, 2014

A huge thanks to my pre-readers and creative consultants: Humanist, AnormalUnicornPony, metallusionsismagic, AShadowOfCygnus, bitbrony, MSPiper, Woonsocket Wrench, and my parents.

We now know, if we read the IDW comics, that Starswirl was around during the time of Luna's banishment; we also know that only Princess Celestia knows how to get to his library.

A terrible realization · 2:49am Sep 29th, 2014

Fimfic isn't borked! :yay:

(because we expect this to happen every time the site's updated)

That's not the terrible realization, though. I just realized, when I looked down at the little calender thingy on my computer, that today is the 28th of September.

Friends, I'm in a good position. I have the next chapter of A Gift from Celestia written and out to pre-readers. I have the next chapter of Onto the Pony Planet written and not out to prereaders (tomorrow or overmorrow).

I wrote three One-Shot-Ober fics today. Here are teasers from all three!

Worldbuilding V: Do Ponies Eat Meat? · 1:24am Sep 16th, 2014

Do ponies eat meat?

Okay, let me back up here a little bit and define the terms. First, I'm generally defining meat as the flesh of an animal. That's going to get a little fuzzy later on, but we can all agree that a cow is made of meat and a rock isn't.
