Just finished the newest chapter of banishment decree. Currently editing it so that it is not a shit show fail parade. Should be out by sometime tomorrow.

Right now it's looking like there will be a new BD chapter within 24 hours. If I get it out by then, it won't be especially polished nor especially long. However, I'm very busy and shouldn't be writing fanfic as it is (curse the celestia-damned writing bug!), so if I choose to work on my chapter more/increase the length, it won't come out for another three weeks.

Hey y'all! I was originally planning to take a fairly long break from Banishment Decree for a while, but I've got a third of the next chapter done and I'm feeling totally pumped up about writing again. The last chapter was a long slog that seemed to drag on forever writing, and a big part of that was plotting troubles. I wanted a chance to develop Dash as a character some more and work on the plot with the Wharfies, but even when I was plotting I wasn't quite sure where the plot would lead off

The next BD chapter is currently at 9000 words. I'm currently finishing off two of the scenes, working on transitions and doing editing. With a bit of luck it will be up shortly after midnight.

As an aside, I now have a tremendous respect for people like Somber who can punch out 8k+ words of excellent story on a near-weekly basis. It's harder than you think, especially when you start getting into a story.

3600 words of the next chapter are currently typed up. I've got two and a half scenes written, the other half of that scene planned out, plans for another three scenes and a hazy outline for probably around two scenes.

I've currently got 4500 words of written-up stuff. Unfortunately, 3500 words of those do not fit into the current chapter. Fortunately, I've got a solid idea of where the hell I'm going with the current chapter, and it's simmering along nicely.

So that's good.

3300 words written proper plus seven pages of notes. 2000 of those words were written very shortly after the last chapter posted, 1000 were written this week and the seven pages of notes are from today. I'm still only about halfway towards first draft, but do not despair for two reasons:
