Had a health issue (more detail here) thats held back writing a bit, but we're still firmly in business, Doc's given me some anti-inflammitories that should help. Typing feels much easier now compared to being completely unable in the last couple days, using a mouse is a nightmare but typing has no pressure on my wrist directly.

Sunday Night Writing Update

Hey folks,

Progress was made this weekend, as usual. I didn’t write on the Saturday because I had to go visit my new nephew in hospital. Three days old!

Got back into it today on Sunday and made up for the lost ground. The initial act of the chapter is complete now, putting us at approx 30% done. 20% gain from last week.

Good news, that schedule I talked about seems to work. I did the first stage of the chapter this weekend and it’s being editing during the week for next weekends writing session. This could be nicely structured, might let me predict dates more in advance. (Maybe!)

A few people have noted my lack of presence lately. Quite so. I won’t drown people in details, but things happening have either taken my attention (Such as a temperamental new PC, thankfully all sorted) or put me in a mindset where writing would have been a bad idea for a number of reasons.

Turns out that FimFic's dodgy maintainence shutdown earlier today mid way through my password change basically cut my password in half. I had to test it letter by letter till it worked. I am now logged in.

How...bizarre. But crisis over.

Wanna make you all aware. I have a new PC. Only problem is...FimFic's eaten my password. Yes, maybe I forgot, but I only have certain ones I use on low priority sites and not a single one of them are working.

End result - I cannot log on to my new PC on this account. Thus I cannot post chapters, communicate...whatever.

Honest reason for no chapter yet is I thought I'd get 1 week of full time, then back down to 3 days a week as expected. Turns out I was given an extra week of full time. Money is good, higher priority, but yes that constricted refinement time.

Still on track, though. Just wanted to be clearer. Sorry I didn't let you know earlier.

A valid question. One I've suddenly been buried in!

The answer is, new job. Got work as a Games Funtionality Tester, so that took a few days. But the primary reason is based on editor feedback I did a few changes and rewrote a couple bits. Also still waiting on a couple of them to check it for any oddities.

First draft is complete! Ahead of schedule by a day too. So tomorrow I’ll instead roll over the last 20% and toy with it all until it works in a more paced out means.

But we’re here folks. Chapter 25 is the last chapter leading into the “endgame chapters”, this is furiously exciting for me. So look forward to it probably this week sometime. I’ll let you know!
