Thanks! Yeah, I may have dragged out the faux romance a bit longer than necessary. Something that wasn't obvious when editing chapter-by-chapter. Glad you liked the Red Queen thing... I don't think most readers made the connection.
1957535 Absolutely fantastic references with the Red Queen hypothesis, btw. I was getting frustrated about half way through with Twilight's infatuation with Luna, but my assumption turned out right. The changeling situation/evolution is a great idea, too.
