The final volume of the Sword and Sorceress anthology has just been released.

On my Hallowe'en radio program, I try to squeeze in Steeleye Span's version of "King Henry"—Child Ballad #32 for those of you who have your copies of that collection near at hand. But this year for the first time it occurred to me how well the song illustrates the magic of friendship.

Or, y'know, something like friendship...

The various ups and downs of four story submissions I had floating around out in the world.

I was in for trouble when I called the penultimate chapter of Currycombs "The Case of the Duplicate Duplicate."

A terza rima ode in iambic pentameter called "The Protest: Ant Work Ethic", published back in September in vol. 3 of the Civilized Beasts anthology. Which is fun enough.

Since I'd just crossed the 4,000 word mark, maybe I should take a break and run a quick "spell check".
