Hello? Is... is this thing on? The red light means it's on, right? Or do I... I have to push a button, don't I? Well, which one? There's like ten! The black one? They're all black!

A self-review · 3:52pm Apr 23rd, 2012

Well, here I am. In lieu of anything more creative to post, I've decided to follow in the footsteps of Blueshift and do a self-review of one of my stories. In this case, it is my one and only EqD feature, an irreverent comedy titled Why Didn't Ah Stay At Th' Farm.

As I've been writing my current project (a sadfic), I've noticed my thoughts have taken a rather morbid turn. Namely: what would all of you think if I were to suddenly die? No, I'm not wondering how everyone would miss me, or any of that crap. Just...if I were suddenly killed in a plane crash or something, none of you would know what really happened. Due to the anonymous nature of the internet, even if my name appeared in a news article or obituary somewhere, you'd never connect it with that

Foolproof solution to the Derpy issue · 9:40pm Mar 3rd, 2012

After a few minutes of searching, I came across a Firefox add-on that allows you to legally download YouTube videos.

As such, it presents an ideal solution to the Derpy issue: just pretend the altered version doesn't exist, find and download the old one, and quit whining.

There. It is now officially not my problem.

Time for a good, old-fashioned rant · 2:37pm Feb 21st, 2012

You know, it seems every author has to write one of these blog posts at one point. And now, it's my turn.

And the topic of the day is: trollfics. You know, those piece of crap fics with an intentionally stupid premise, that have little to no plot flow, and generally give the impression that they were written while high, drunk or both. Those ones that are intentionally badly written for "comedic effect." Well you know what? I'm f*cking sick of it.

70 just isn't as funny a number. Ah, whatever. Although you ruined my fun, I'm not complaining.

Oh, if you want to know about my stories, Stroke of Midnight is just being polished a bit. I'll get started on Chapter 6...sometime soon?

Suddenly...academics · 11:03pm Jan 29th, 2012

Yeah. I've suddenly come to the realization that I've been putting off several assignments for a touch too long. That, and I've got a chemical kinetics test on Thursday that I haven't even started studying for, a biology test on Friday (see chem test) and several labs spaced through the week.

Eeyup. Talking about Derpy. Just like everyone else. And some other stuff. · 10:50pm Jan 22nd, 2012

Ah, yes. It seems the brony fandom has finally been thrown a bone. The funny thing is, considering we actually had a direct influence on the scripting and characterization, the brony community is one of the most influential fandoms on the planet. That's kinda epic, if you ask me. I was personally hoping that she would be like a female version of Caboose from Red vs Blue, but what can I do?

So...I've got the second chapter of Why Didn't Ah Stay At Th' Farm finished, and it's just awaiting prereading. I have no idea how well it's going to be received, but I gave myself a few evil chuckles while writing it, so...

Wendigo · 2:52am Dec 20th, 2011

You know the Wendigo in Hearth's Warming Eve? I decided to look them up the other day. Turns out they're one of the nastier spirits in Algonquin mythology. They're cannibalistic entities that embody winter and cold, and are the physical manifestations of greed and gluttony. Not only that, but a Wendigo was used in Stephen King's Pet Sematary, which as I recall gave me nightmares for about a week and a half after reading it.

Do. Not. Want.

Sudden Idea! · 10:51pm Dec 13th, 2011

So, I watched an episode of the X-Files this morning, and spent a few hours playing Amnesia: Justine, and finished a particularly creepy Stephen King novel. And I am now writing a creepy-as-buck grimdark psychological horror fic. Go figure. And of course I'm doing this while I should be studying for my chemistry final.

Sigh. In reality, it comes down to this. Quantum theory and orbital hybridization or ponies? Real no-brainer.
