Wendigo · 2:52am Dec 20th, 2011
You know the Wendigo in Hearth's Warming Eve? I decided to look them up the other day. Turns out they're one of the nastier spirits in Algonquin mythology. They're cannibalistic entities that embody winter and cold, and are the physical manifestations of greed and gluttony. Not only that, but a Wendigo was used in Stephen King's Pet Sematary, which as I recall gave me nightmares for about a week and a half after reading it.
Do. Not. Want.
On the other hand...Hm. You guys up for another attempt at horror?
Dooooooo eeeeeeet. A post on r/mlp the other day covered the confusion between the mlp windigoes and the native American eat the flesh of the living ones. Anyway, I say do it.
the above comment is from me. I was too drunk to log in at the time, and I'm honestly surprised it made any sense at all.![:twilightblush:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightblush.png)
Using the Wendigo as part of my novels.
Also, horror is always good if done right.![:pinkiehappy:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/pinkiehappy.png)
