Stars Richard Widmark, Jack Palance and Barbara Bel Geddes (She played 'Midge' in Hitchcock's "Vertigo". She's great in this film.)

The news coming out makes me think of "Captain Trips" and Stephen King's masterpiece "The Stand".

The opening to the tv adaptation from 1994 is the best opening to any tv movie or miniseries.

Crazy to think that we're heading into a period of noteworthy films becoming a century old.

"The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari" (1919) has hit the century mark.
"Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (1920).
"The Phantom Carriage" (1921).
"Nosferatu" (1922).
"Haxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages" (1922).
"The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" (1923).
"The Phantom Of The Opera" (1925).

One night during Christmas Break 1999 when I was staying with my Dad, I was in Mountain View (AR) at their Hardee's/gas station, and I had met these two teen girls about my age, and I got invited to go rent a movie and hang out with them at one of their houses.

We rented "Varsity Blues" and after that was over, out came the Will Smith CD.

That is pretty literally(1) the only "teenish" thing I did growing up.
