"Cute, adorable, naive, and easily mislead by human nature" Sound like all good reasons to visit Equestria!

Things to keep you occupied while at home. · 2:53pm Mar 29th, 2020

I'll start with a movie recommendation.

"Panic In The Streets" (1950) - A doctor and a policeman in New Orleans have only 48 hours to locate a killer infected with pneumonic plague.
Stars Richard Widmark, Jack Palance and Barbara Bel Geddes (She played 'Midge' in Hitchcock's "Vertigo". She's great in this film.)

The Coronavirus and "The Stand". · 10:14pm Feb 28th, 2020

The news coming out makes me think of "Captain Trips" and Stephen King's masterpiece "The Stand".

The opening to the tv adaptation from 1994 is the best opening to any tv movie or miniseries.

Crazy to think that we're heading into a period of noteworthy films becoming a century old.

"The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari" (1919) has hit the century mark.
"Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (1920).
"The Phantom Carriage" (1921).
"Nosferatu" (1922).
"Haxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages" (1922).
"The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" (1923).
"The Phantom Of The Opera" (1925).

Anecdotes from my life - I did not "teen" well edition. · 5:01am Feb 21st, 2020

One night during Christmas Break 1999 when I was staying with my Dad, I was in Mountain View (AR) at their Hardee's/gas station, and I had met these two teen girls about my age, and I got invited to go rent a movie and hang out with them at one of their houses.

We rented "Varsity Blues" and after that was over, out came the Will Smith CD.

That is pretty literally(1) the only "teenish" thing I did growing up.

Hypothetical Dream Movie Casting · 3:50am Feb 8th, 2020

Imagine some director like Brad Anderson, Ti West, or the guy who directed "Wind River" directing an adaptation of "The Picture Of Dorian Gray".

With Tom Hardy as "Dorian Gray".
