Yeah, it's a day early. But I'll be busy tomorrow, so I may as well say it now.

This year, I'm going as the classic Pirate, albeit without the really cliched bits like the plastic hook and crap. What I do have is an old fencing foil and an old toy flintlock cap-pistol (made of real wood and steel)! The latter of which I will NOT be taking out on the streets for obvious reasons in light of recent events here in Ottawa.

I've been rewatching Season 4 a bit, and I can't help but wonder: does anyone else get the impression that Twilight was originally supposed to set up shop in the old castle? Before they hit us with that big ol' crystal treehouse playset thing, that is. I mean, why else would the gang be housecleaning a medieval ruin of all things?

Something to think about in any event. And yes, before anyone asks, all of you get french-fries.

Mystery Night in Ponyville is now complete, with all the pomp and ceremony that such an event demands. (Yay!) Now that that's done, I'm at a bit of a loss for where to go from here. I won't deny that I'm winding down a bit as far as the big multi-part fics are concerned, but I still enjoy writing, so I figure I'll stick to one-shots for the next while. Hopefully there'll be some new gems for you all to enjoy in the near-future.

Oh, and have a happy Thanksgiving next week!

Vacuum cleaners that don't.

I've gotten a few positive comments about the shipping overtones in Mystery Night in Ponyville, especially concerning the pairing of a particular animal lover with an equally particular steroid junkie. But then I see some of the new screenshots for Rainbow Rocks, and I notice that Bulkie is apparently the PhysEd teacher... at a high school in which Fluttershy is a student... Suddenly this ship got a lot more awkward. And potentially a lot less legal.

I really need to get this off my chest.

People, "could of" is not proper English! What you're trying to say is "could've", itself a contraction of "could have". As in "I could have done that", describing a past possibility. So seriously, tell your friends, neighbours, and mortal enemies, because I am real sick of reading "could of, would of, should of" in otherwise great pieces of fiction.

Maude Pie is a badass!

The rock toss was awesome enough, but then she goes and totally pummels a giant boulder into smithereens while filling out a pickelhaube like nopony should! This pony's awesome! Plus I love the way she always puts everypony else off kilter without even trying. I should totally write a fic about her when I'm done with the one I'm writing now.

Okay, somebody needs to help me here.

What is the raison d'etre for Maude Pie? The character, that is. Why is there another Pie sister? I realise she was a character in one of the novels, but why did that story need another sister? Why is the show running with it? I have no doubt tomorrow's episode will be good, and Maude will be a welcome addition to the cast, but I really want to know why.

Anybody?

Am I the only one who thinks breadclips look like a cartoon bulldog? Also, that totally sounds like something Pinkie Pie would bring up.
