Not as bombshell of an update as last one: The editing process has begun! Word count is sitting comfortably over 20k still (actually having gone up since last update), at 21,483. I'm more-or-less attacking this every other day at minimum (sometimes more), so that's about how often you'll see these updates. Even if they're tiny updates I want to make them, though, to ensure everyone that I'm not vanishing (again!).

I really wanted to get this accomplished before my vacation ended. As such, the past two days were largely dedicated to catching myself up on the fic (whenever I come back from a hiatus I re-read it to re-familiarize myself) and what I'd written so far.

It's been nagging at me for years now, leaving my sole work of fiction posted to this site unfinished.

I think it's about time I did something about that.

Hello! As much as I try to break the long, long cycle of four months per chapter release, it seems that procrastination gets the better of me. I've gotten a lot of the chapter done in the past few weeks, and I anticipate I'll be done with the draft by the weekend. Hopefully this thing will see a release by this weekend or next. Stay tuned!

Well, the holidays are over, and I have resumed working on chapter 8! It's been a few weeks since I've written anything, but today I've gotten back into the swing of things, getting some writing done and getting back into the story. Chapter 8's draft currently sits at around 10,600 words, and is about 75% of the way done (if my vague chapter notes are any indication).
