Editing of the final An Apple Alone chapter is still underway. I'd say it's about 70% complete or so. I really wanted to get this accomplished before my vacation ended. As such, the past two days were largely dedicated to catching myself up on the fic (whenever I come back from a hiatus I re-read it to re-familiarize myself) and what I'd written so far.
Tonight I can say that I have a finished rough draft of the next chapter for An Apple Alone. I still have proofreading and external editor/prereading to do, but the important thing is that the chapter itself is written. As of this time of writing, before edits (i.e. before trimming!) the word count is sitting at 21,377. It's safe to say that this will be the largest chapter of the fic.
This isn't the final chapter of the fic though! It's the next-to-last. :) Just one more after this, and it won't be nearly as long I supsect, or take years upon years to write either!
Hoping to keep up with these sorts of updates to keep people informed, and also to provide a "heartbeat" of sorts to show I'm not dead.
