Don't worry, this is a bit of a happier blog post. I've been working on and off on a few ideas, and think I've got a good idea for an original work.

It's current working title is "The Realms of Magic". For a brief synopsis, it's the story of a young mage/priestess who's stranded in a faraway land after a colonization effort gone horribly wrong. She set off to find a way home, encountering new peoples, conflicts, and powers along her way.

I've had a lot to think about this summer. A lot has changed since I joined this fandom; my writing skills have improved, I'm most of the way through college, I'll be getting married sometime in the next two years or so. I'd like to think that My Little Pony has done a lot to get me to this point, and I certainly wouldn't have improved as a writer without this fandom.

But now, I feel like it's time for me to move on.

This is the other movie I was excited to see this summer. And I can say, Pixar is back on their game.

Really, this movie was adorable and just plain fun. The characters, emotions or otherwise, were a joy to watch, and you can tell the Voice Actors had a lot of fun with the roles. The plot isn't too complex, and it doesn't need to be: it's a peak into what makes a person tick without having to suffer through countless boring monologues to get.

Also, it's pretty darn funny.
