Well, my first Fanfic is up and completed and now all that is left is for me to sit back and wait for the torches and pitchforks to show up.

In all seriousness, though, I enjoyed stepping into Sunset's head. She's calm and collected on the surface but there is a lot of untapped potential under the surface. She started to truly blossom in Friendship Games, and grew in EverFree, and I'm willing to bet that in the next movie we'll see even more.

Well, it took me a while, but I finally wrote a bit of a song, finished the chapter, and changed the title.

Homecoming just feels more right with the way the story has evolved. Though the reasons are tragic, the overall purpose and outcome are the same.

It's really early in the AM and I have a work shift later, so a nap sounds REALLY good right now. Followed by a muffin.

I was sitting at the keyboard - the piano type - and playing through some songs I know just to keep in practice.

I started playing 'Songbird' by Fleetwood Mac, and it really struck my authors spirit, because I really want something like this to be the song but I also don't want to straight up rip it into the 'verse.

So I started writing Five Stages with the idea of using the story to show Sunset's transfer through the five stages of grief following the events of the first chapter. The way the story has evolved naturally has caused me to rethink how I'm going to have her process her grief and her trouble accepting SciTwi's affection.

And then it became much less a grieving story and more of a coming to acceptance. Acceptance of forgiveness, acceptance of loss, acceptance of belonging.
