After suffering an energy crisis caused by the war against the dragon empire, Equestria turns to a new source of energy called Aerial power. the plan was to use Aerial power generation towers known as Horizon Towers that can generate almost unlimited amounts of energy. However to facilitate their creation, the nations of Equestria divided into three blocs. the nations grouped around Cloudsdale was called the Alliance of Aerial Energy and Pegasi Nations or simply known as The Alliance, The Earth Reform Union with the Crystal Empire as it's core state, and The A.U.A. (Advance Unicornian Alliance). Yes, the war against the dragon empire has divided the once harmonic land of ponies and started quarrel among themselves. During this strife, a mysterious group known as Angel Feather suddenly appeared and began interfering with the affairs of the three nations.

After being locked in an endless bloodshed for nearly fifty years, the Draconian Empire and the Principality of Wyveria has reached a stalemate. In this delicate time of temporary peace, the dragon prince Blitz Wings decided to take the opportunity to head back to the dragon capital Zekronia to spend time with his family. however on his way, he came across a mysterious wyvern and things started to become complicated.

Gryfia, the empire of the fierce Griffins has invaded and conquered the peaceful land of Sphinxia. With their powerful airships known as "Valkyries", they easily took control of most of the land's cities and enslaved it's people. After his victory against a group of Sphinx Rebels, the young heir of Gryfia Prince Azure Zephyr headed to the captured Sphinxian City of Zigus to be crowned as the new emperor after learning of his father's death. However things didn't end well for the young prince when he was kidnapped by a mysterious female sphinx in the night of his coronation.
