It tastes like cotton candy. Who knew?
Trixie: Of course Starlight tastes like cotton candy. Trixie is quite knowledgeable about this.
Starlight Glimmer: I do not. Don't believe her.
Trixie: Pay her no mind. She knows what she tastes like.
I never really thought about it much until just recently, but there is a certain generation of Anime fans out there that know what Ranma 1/2 is. That's the English title. In Japanese, it's Ranma Nibunnoichi. The time period the anime was showing in Japan predates Neon Genesis Evangelion (arguably a more famous series) by a few years, but for the most part, both came to the US in about the same time period, back when VHS cassettes were a thing and dubbed anime song tracks were common in the
So, passing through wal-mart, looking for pumpkin flavored ice cream, I noticed something named Unicorn Sparkle ice cream by Great Value, the wal-mart house brand. Suffice it to say, I had to buy it.
It tastes like cake. I think Pinkie would approve.
noperoonie! It should taste like parties!
I'm attending the con. I should probably have written something before today since it's the last day, but c'est la vie. As it is my first pony con (have attended several anime cons in the past), I'm not sure how it compares to others. I can say that the strong writing component seems very pronounced to me and I've had to wonderful opportunity meet some authors I admire. Authors I can think of off the top of my head would be Titanium Dragon, Albinocorn, Oroboro, Monochromatic, Novel-Idea, and
Looking back at this past year, I can't help but think where I was 4 years ago. 4 years ago, I was in a modest sized apartment in the countryside of Japan. Freezing my butt off and far away from my family. (Thinking back specifically to New years eve night, it was actually pretty good since my friend Ray came over, we cranked up the heater, I cooked up whatever I had in my icebox, and later we went to ring a temple bell in the drizzly snow.)
I went to see the film on Friday night. Gorgeous scenery and the different looked didn't bother me as I'd anticipated it would. Story was a bit weak, but I feel like the 1986 movie was even weaker. Some thoughts on one of the characters after the cut.
I don't watch much television these days (aside from one particular show with colorful pastel ponies and the odd anime), but one show I did previously enjoy was Phineas and Ferb before it ended. The two creators of that show have teamed up with the voice talent of Ponydom's own Cheese Sandwich. Evidently, he goes by the name Al Yankovic in the human world. The show is called Milo Murphy's Law. Yes, that's my tenuous link to relevancy...
My latest story got featured - an incredible honor. I've been reading some of the comments and I've noticed that a few people have some concerns about whether the battles referenced make sense, the actions of Celestia, and the fact that Brace Girdle isn't a very nice person.
