So i'm in a bit of a conundrum, but it's probably the better kind of one.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? (He/Him)
So i'm in a bit of a conundrum, but it's probably the better kind of one.
I'm fine, I'm alive, I've largely made it back home from Bronycon safely.
Currently, i'm on the amtrak that will take me to chicago. after that, a bus to take me to madison, and an inter-madison bus to get me home.
and THEN
I'm probably going to take an hour-long bath and crash.
Before doing this again tomorrow.
I'm starting to see how "Con fatigue" is a thing.
You know, most people probably wouldn't feel the desire to summarize the entirety of their first bronycon experience ever in one picture.
But I did.
Someone please send help. I've ponko'd far, far too hard and now i can't get back up again.
So at the moment, the top ten songs that i am most interested in using as story-inspirational fodder are:
10. Cheap Thrills - Sia
9. Dancing Through Sunday - AFI
8. Beast (Extended Version) - Nico Vega
7. Style - Taylor Swift
6. In Between - Mike Shinoda
5. Lonely Mountain - Jon Gooch
4. Mac n' Cheese - Shawn Wasabi
3. Into You - Ariana Grande
2. Scars to your Beautiful - Alessia Cara
Professor Plum put together a pretty useful guide for convention-goers.
Your prerogative is your prerogative, but i hope you'll take them as sage advice. I fully intend to follow 'em, and I've been to enough other cons to know how unpleasant getting a sweaty, unwashed armpit shoved in your face by accident is.
"If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In the sky of a million stars,
It flickers, flickers.
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are,
Or quicker, quicker,
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well, I do."
-One More Light, 2017.
Over the past few weeks, I've been working on a concept for a story. And when I say "Concept," what I mean this time is "I've written two short stories that provide or at least hint at the basic premise for a larger setting as a whole." Originally, I had conceived of letting the idea be used as the background for a story collab, of sorts: people contribute shorts they want to that particular setting, then the short in question gets added to the collection and they get credited for it.
Well, gee, I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings.
I apologize for not being particularly chuffed when I'm trying to enjoy a show and I have to flip through pages upon pages upon pages of "this show writer is awful, these characters are awful, this show is now/has always been awful, everyone on fimfic has terrible taste and an IQ below 70."
Have some music.
(We Bare Bears in general, really. The warm fuzzies the cartoon gives off might even surpass MLP, no joke.)
