It was during the Friendship Game short All's Fair in Love and Friendship Games. So, I just had to download Audacity and record myself speaking Japanese for Japanese class. While doing so, I realized two very distinct things: 1) Japanese is hard as balls, and 2) My voice is bloody awful. I never notice it when I'm talking, but hearing it in a recording really made me realize how terrible I sound. I knew there was a reason I was quiet all the time. Hm... I think I feel a story coming on... Something to do with best pony (or best teenage girl, in this instance).

I knew I'd have to return someday, but I still never prepared myself. Today, I went back into the field. My third year of Advanced Deployment. It was as awful as I could have ever dreamed.

My convoy was late by half an hour, leaving me alone with my "comrades", though they seemed to be as hostile as the enemy. When the bus finally did arrive, I filed myself away and kept my eyes out the window. Eye contact was suicidal.

I live in North Carolina, which means that school starts on Tuesday for me. This means that I will have actual stuff to do all day, which means I can't spend it writing. This likely means that my loose-weekly updating schedule will be pumped up to a week and a half, two weeks. Now, I don't know about you guys, but I think that's cause for celebration. That makes me excited, because that means 100 people liked my story! I don't even know a hundred people in real life!
