I just did it.

After two years of on and off work, I've completed the draft for Divergence. And with this, I've completed the trilogy, my pride and joy, which I started so long ago. The final comes in at 114.5k words (slightly less than Substitute). This might change because edits have to happen, and there are things I might clean up between now and when everything is fully published.

So I'm looking through my notes and getting the last bits together. And I found a scene that I had written quite a while ago, sometime before I actually wrote chapter nine. I had originally written this scene to explain one of the big things in the story, but I ended up writing a fairly simple version for chapter nine. As such, I ended up not using this scene in the story; if I had, I probably would have put it into chapter ten.

So, a few days ago, without me really realizing it, I reached a milestone. I've gotten into a really good flow with these last bits of the story (seriously, the hardest subplot is now completely done and over with and literally everything else is smooth sailing stuff that's been pretty firm in my head since forever ago), so much so that I lost track of some things. I'm extremely happy right now.
