As I promised in my State of the Author yesterday, I now present a snippet of what I’m working on with chapter nine. It’s the very start of the chapter. What I have here is roughly representative of what the final version will look like, but there might be some minor tweeks between now and when the full chapter is published. Good morning, everyone,

I hope you’re all enjoying or have enjoyed the latest chapter. I wanted to say a quick word on what’s going to happen with the next chapter.

In short, it’s gotten quite long. I am nearing completing the draft on it which I imagine will clock in at about 12k words or so. This is a bit long for my tastes, given its placement in the story. So I’m going to publish it in two parts:

Part 1 will go up on March 19th
Part 2 will go up on March 21st
