In the beginning, The Elements of Harmony were Laughter, Magic, Loyalty, Generosity, Kindness and Secrets. Secrets can bring friends together or tear them apart. Each element was represented by a pony who was a model of their Element to others. That pony, once chosen, was turned alicorn and became the protector and keeper of the Element. Dayea, her name meaning "goddess of secrets", was the keeper of the Element of Secrets. She was a good pony, but her Element was unstable. It began to invade her mind and tip her balance of judgment. She wanted for the Alicorns to rule Equestria instead of Celestia and Luna. She tried to get the others to wield their Elements alongside hers and defeat Celestia. They refused and decided together that she was too unstable. They used their Elements to destroy hers and create The Element of Honesty. But, they then fell into a deep sleep and were transported to far away places unknown. Dayea, her mind poisoned by greed and hate, retreated to the mountains and vowed to get revenge.
