Alduin's last memory was being destroyed by Dovahkiin in sovenguarde, but now he's been reborn in a land foreign to him, fully inhabited by not men, but talking horses. He is used to the rolling landscape of skyrim, the villages all over the countryside, but this land is different. It's fully inhabited by intelligent horses.
