My first fic that's not tied to either the Skitchverse, or the Lunaverse is currently awaiting approval from the site mods.

Entitled Blood and Ponies, it's from my list of crossovers from earlier in the week. As I'll be working on this one kind of in-between my other bits of writing, you can expect updates on this one to not be quite as regular compared to other stories that I've been tossing onto FiMFiction.

Where, exactly, did the whole idea of changeling cocoons converting ponies into changelings come from in the fandom? I mean, I can kind of understand it, as it plays into that whole "body snatcher" theme they kind of have going. But did this actually come from a specific fanfic or fan comic or something? Just got back from seeing Guardians of the Galaxy.

IT IS SO FREAKING AWESOME!

Seriously. For a movie that was going to be such a risk for Marvel, based on the subject matter, and using a bunch of characters that aren't as well known, it completely rocked. Almost a perfect blend of humor, action, and serious moments. It is totally worth seeing, and I suggest that you do that as soon as you can.

Being part of a fandom is an odd thing, full of its own ups and downs that can sometimes stretch beyond the nature of the media that started the fandom itself. Sub fandoms, fan interpretations, shipping, bitter arguments about the nature of characters...all of it comes together to form the tapestry that is fandom. And fans, naturally, decide what they like, and what they don't like.

Just letting all of my followers know that the next chapter of Boast Bypassed is still coming. Its just been fighting me a little bit, I'm afraid. I have also been working on some side projects, including another fic for the Lunaverse, and a crossover between my universe and theirs. I got back a little while ago from seeing the new Godzilla flick.

My thoughts?

Flawed, but entertaining.

The special effects were great and it was nice to see an American take on Godzilla that stayed towards the tone of the original. Seeing the destruction played out in these cities was very entertaining to watch as well. And Godzilla's atomic breath on the screen was bloody *fantastic*, especially in a scene that I have no desire to spoil. That being said, it had some issues.
