Well, The Marked Ones is now complete. It's the fastest I've completed a story that exceeded 20k words, taking almost exactly a month. It didn't come out as well as I wanted, but it got better feedback than my last several stories. Plus, I enjoyed typing it. I love dark writing.

I have the final chapter of The Marked Ones "almost" complete, and it will truly be the one I publish. I won't say whether I chose tragic or not, but know that I'm very happy with what I have written, and I will have it finished in time to publish tomorrow night. Had a mental breakdown today. Wasn't fun. I blame my grandmother, alcohol, and the internet. Wish I could take the weekend off from work, but I'd rather be there than at home. The end of August was my goal to be out of my parent's house, and here I am. No closer to freedom.

After seeing some feedback from chapter four of The Marked Ones, I've made a few changes. As of right now, it is still open for the ending I originally had in mind, which is anything but happy. I can also have everything work out for the best, but it will take more than just one more chapter to do so. Chapter Five (Broken) was supposed to be the end, but I cut it short to allow for a decision to be made.

Every time I start a new story, I usually know where it's going to go. What I never know is how long it will take to get there. These destinations always lie in waiting as I take detour after detour getting there. All too often, I get lost along the way and end up not knowing where to go. Of the hundred paths I could take, I choose the worst ones. The tangents that I could on always spring new ideas with their own paths and destinations.

Pony related: My attention is split between updating Chasing Dreams, ISHNBTP, and The Marked Ones. I want to finish The Marked Ones ASAP because there were only supposed to be, like, five parts, and now I have to write a sixth because I don't storyboard, or plan anything out before starting anything.
