When Acorn is born, her parents are in shock, because unlike both of them, she doesn't have wings. She can still walk on clouds, though she can't fly. this means that she is confined to her home in Cloudsdale. She longs to see more of Equestria, and often asks her parents what its like. When Princess Luna visits Cloudsdale, Acorn sees her chance to be a part of the rest of the world.
