Final Rest

Chapter 4-The Harsh Conclusion

The tunnel was long, wet and dark. Twilight Sparkle was carrying a torch that she had grabbed from the beginning of the tunnel. In the distance, there was the sound of water dripping from the ceiling. The two ponies continued walking through the tunnel and they came across a long ropebridge. It seemed as if it was not very safe to walk across. "Come on Pinkie Pie we need to cross this bridge, after this it should not be too far till Zecora's" said Twilight. "I don't know it does not seem too safe" said Pinkie Pie fearfully. "Don't worry it will be fine! If you want I'll go first" said Twilight bravely. Twilight Sparkle started walking across the bridge slowly. "Don't look down!" yelled Pinkie. This caused Twilight to look down at the gigantic black gorge that was beneath the bridge. She quickly took a gulp and pressed onward across the bridge. Twilight managed to get to the other side of the bridge safely. Now it was Pinkie Pie's turn to cross. "You need to walk across slowly!" yelled Twilight from across the bridge. So Pinkie Pie walked across the bridge carefully and as slow as she could. Halfway across, a plank made a creak on Pinkie saw the rope starting to break. "Hurry Pinkie! Run!!!" screamed Twilight in fear. She ran as fast as she could across the bridge, looking behind her she only saw the bridge coming down behind her. "Come on you can make it!" screamed Twilight. Close to the end of the bridge, it fully collapsed and Pinkie Pie dove into the air and grabbed onto Twilight Sparkle's hoof. "At least you are safe now" said Twilight in relief. "Thank you for catching me, if you were not there I would have fallen down with the bridge" said Pinkie. The two ponies then ran onward through the rest of the tunnel dodging stalagmites. Eventually the two ponies found a solid rock wall with a lever beside it. They pulled the lever and and the wall of rock magically opened. Stepping out, they saw they were in the Everfree forest just as expected. Twilight and Pinkie Pie ran to Zecora's hut not too far away from the exit of the tunnel. The door slammed open with a thud knocking some bottles off of the shelves. "Lovely night, isn't it Pinkie Pie and Twilight?" said Zecora happily. "Zecora, we need something to get rid of zombies" exclaimed Twilight loudly. The zebra looked at them in confusion. "Why do you ask of me to get rid of these zombies?" said Zecora. "Somehow zombie ponies have risen from the dead and they are after Pinkie Pie!" said Twilight. Zecora was shocked but gave an answer. "If you wish to get rid of something full of dread, you must become one of the dead" said Zecora. "Become one of the dead? What does that mean?" questioned Twilight Sparkle nervously. "You must die for Pinkie pie" said Zecora while still rhyming. "This book contains a spell that will send the zombies back to hell" said Zecora. "I have to.....DIE?" said Twilight in a full state of panic now. Then Zecora explained to Twilight that in order to get rid of the zombies, she would need to use Black Magic and sacrifice herself to save her friend. It took a while for twilight to accept her fate but she stood up and threw her hood forward. "I will sacrifice myself to save Pinkie Pie from the zombies" said Twilight in an aggresive voice. Then Twilight took some time to study the spell for she could not practice it because the instant she would use it she would die. Zecora tried to calm down the two ponies and Pinkie Pie gave her friend Twilight a giant hug saying "I can't believe you are doing this for me." The two ponies then stepped out the door and headed back to town. As they arrived in back in Ponyville, the herd of zombie ponies confronted them face to face. These were not just any ordinary zombies though, they were their friends. Then a sickish blue colored pony came in front of the rest of the herd. Pinkie Pie stared at the pony and said in a petrified voice "RAINBOW DASH!?" The pony was none other then Rainbow dash but she was covered in stitchs everywhere Pinkie made a cut into her. She had no wings, and her cutie marks were gone and she had no eyes, just empty sockets but still being to recognize where she was. "Hi Pinkie Pie, it's been a while" said Rainbow dash in a demented voice. Pinkie was too petrified to even say a word back seeing what she had done to all of her friends. "Nothing to say then Pinkie?" said Rainbow Dash. "Then ponies!!! Finish her off!!!" screamed Rainbow dash in her demented voice once more. Twilight then knew this was her time to go. Pinkie looked her with a tear in her eye. Twilight waved her horn into the air and started casting the spell she had learned from Zecora. A bright purple aura started glowing from her horn. The aura grew 10 times the size then Twilight Sparkle looked back at Pinkie and said "I'm so glad for meeting you. You truely were a great friend." said Twilight starting to cry. "NO DON'T GO!" screamed Pinkie. Twilights horn then sent out a blast that slowly turned every zombie to dust. "I will get you back for this Pinkie!" said rainbow dash. She then vanished into the sky. After the spell was done, Twilight fell on the floor and Pinkie tried felling her pulse,....she was dead. Pinkie then sent out a large shrieking scream at the sky. After grieving for her friend she walked back to her store. Every single building was in flames and the town was baron with no sign of life. Pinkie was the last survivor in Ponyville. And to think that Cupcakes could bring such chaos, to cause one Final Rest.
