The name's Greg. I'm what's called a "cambion". I've had a horrible life, and the only keeping me going is my quest for vengeance. Now that I've met a cowgirl named Applejack though, everything is about to change.
The Farmer and the Monster would be rated R if it were a movie. In the first paragraph the main character drops two, “words you can’t say on television” and it keeps that tone throughout the entire piece. While the story does provide plenty of mature content, none of it really amounts to anything terribly meaningful. The main character likes to watch “Blade Trinity,” the quintessential popcorn movie. The Farmer and the Monster is much the same, entertaining without any real depth or intellectual content.
2413719 You know I wish my friend would stop asking the Equestrian Critics Society to review my stories before they're finished. The story has barely even started to be completely honest and is nowhere even near finished, and at the moment I am unable to even continue writing or even submitting chapters in any of my stories. Bottom line: how can you base a review based on the first ten minutes? You can't. I'm glad that you bothered to review this, but I'm not glad that it happened this early on. Things get surprisingly more complex as time goes on, seeing as I only have roughly half of the currently written chapters submitted. I'm working on getting things moving again, but in the meantime I'm stuck.
When I'm further along could I ask you to do an updated review?
Also I assume buy the "words you can't say on television" thing that you're a fan of George Carlin. Fucking funny guy that knew no limits. Real shame that he died just four months after his final special, and somewhat ironic given one of the bits in it.
You can request another review once the story is finished or after a substantial update, check this post for the rules for updated and final reviews. I don't handle the submissions/assignments. I am only the humble critic assigned to your story.
