Spreading my wings, and chasing a new dream

chapter 2- Recruitment

She walked outside and then had a thought. She then said, "I can ask Apple Jack, to join my illegal soda business.. she owns a farm and she can be like.. my supplier..." she nodded her head. She is impressed that she came up with an excellent idea.

She then spread her wings, and took off to Sweet Apple Anchors, white and Puffy clouds greeted her, so did the yellow sun sitting in the sky. The blue hue of the sky greeted her too, as she was flying. Rainbow Dash was flying very fast, so fast she is leaving behind a rainbow trail in the sky, there was a long and thick rainbow in the sky. Ponies on the ground can hear a "ZAP!" sound on the sky. They are curious why Rainbow Dash is in such a hurry since she isn't usually in a rush. But then after what seemed to feel like forever, she reached Sweet Apple Anchors, She hovers in the air, sweat was rushing down her face, she had a tired look on her face.

The place smelled like apple pie, She saw Apple Jack bucking Apple trees, she had a happy and determined look on her face. To her left, there lies a small and brown basket that had a pile of crispy, round, and red apples. To her right, there was another apple tree, but the tree was filled with green apples instead of red apples like the tree Apple Jack was bucking. Rainbow Dash flew down to the ground quickly, she had a happy look on her face. She watches as Apple Jack bucks the tree and the apples fell to the brown, and muddy ground or in the basket. She walked over to Apple Jack, she took a deep breath and said, "Hey Apple Jack!"

"Hi, Rainbow Dash, what do ya need?" Apple Jack responded in a happy tone.

Rainbow Dash replied with a sad look and tone, "So, I didn't get to join the Wonderbolts..."

Apple Jack stopped bucking apples and walked over to Rainbow Dash and placed a hoof on her shoulder and said, "Oh, ya sorry to hear that!"

Rainbow Dash then slowly cracked a smile and said, "Well, I decided to chase after a new dream!"

Apple Jack raised an eyebrow, she was curious what dream Rainbow Dash will chase.. She then asked in a curious tone, "What new dream will you chase?"

Rainbow Dash said, "Selling soda.. who doesn't love soda. I love that stuff, also it was unjustifiably banned by Princess Celestia!"

Apple Jack made a shocked look on her face, she then frowned and said, "But Rainbow, it's... illegal!" she is worried that Rainbow Dash will get in huge trouble, is she chooses to go through with this new plan of hers. She made a worried look on her face

Rainbow Dash chuckled and said, "Yes but.. you forgot I am a daredevil... and how I like to break rules all of the time.. plus who doesn't love soda.. also look at the bigger picture.. if you join this.. you can give me fruits to make soda flavors, and we can share the bits.. that... we make... also, you will make a ton of bits... and you will have so many bits that you can expand your business and make more farms which will help you produce more stuff and earn more bits! you want that, don't you?"

Apple Jack's eyes sparkle as she imagines her sitting in a giant pile of hard and yellow bits, behind her are hundreds of barns. There was a line of ponies holding brown sacks of bits. Then, shortly after, Princess Celestia gave her a big, and white piece of paper that is protected by glass. The piece of paper read, "World Record for most sucessful business made.." Apple Jack had a big smile on her face, her green eyes were sparkling. Apple Jack then nodded her head.

"Count me in, Rainbow!" Apple Jack said in a happy and prideful tone. She is willing to join. She can't wait to make a ton of bits and make more barns to produce more stuff, then make more and more bits!

Rainbow Dash said, "Apple Jack, grab some buckets of fruits, go to Sugarcube Corner and tell the others to go to Twilight's house and wait for me inside Twilight's secret basement!"

Apple Jack placed a hoof on her forehead and said, "Okay, Dashie!" She removed her hoof from her forehead, she then started collecting buckets of fruits, after all that was done, she galloped. She had a happy look on her face.

Rainbow Dash then walked to Fluttershy's cottage. She looks around, she sees no clouds or anything that will ruin the perfect day. The bright yellow sun was shining, the blue and yellow hue shined in the sky. She hopes to convince Fluttershy to join the illegal soda company, along with her. She then asked herself, "Wait, what can Fluttershy do?"

She then thinks to herself as she thinks of a good role for Fluttershy. She looks left and right admiring the green grass, the red and blue flowers sitting in the ground, not to mention some ponies like a mare with purple coat and a purple mane sleeping. She has a small smile on her face. She then said, "Well, I could.. let her make the soda and pour it into the bottle!" she nodded her head, she finally decided what role to give Fluttershy. She then arrived on the front door of Fluttershy's cottage. it looked brand new, it was made of wood and it smelt like the forest. Then, Rainbow Dash knocked on the door with her hoof and said, "Fluttershy.. you in there?"

"I am coming!" Fluttershy responded in a gentle tone. Rainbow Dash can hear footsteps inside the house that sounds like Fluttershy is going downstairs. She waited patiently for Fluttershy to open the door. She had an annoyed look on her face, she was tapping her hooves on the ground. She then rolled her eyes.

After what seemed like forever, the door opened. Angel and Fluttershy were seen, Fluttershy had a tired look on her face and Angel had an impatient look on his face, Fluttershy yawned and said, "Sorry Dash... I was late feeding and taking care of animals.. so what do you need, Rainbow Dash?"

Rainbow Dash took a deep breath and said, "Well, I didn't manage to join the Wonderbolts.. I decided to chase a new dream.." she had a happy smirk on her face and her magenta eyes were sparkling. There was a short silence among the ponies.

"I decided to open a company that sells soda!" Rainbow Dash continued in a happy look and tone. She had a huge smile on her face. She then nodded her head after she said that.

Rainbow Dash then said, "I want you to join me.." she had a huge smile on her face, her eyes are glowing, she also had a happy look on her face. Fluttershy had a curious and worried look on her face. She is unsure of what choice to make. She wants to support Rainbow Dash and help her achieve her dreams, she feels a small dose of sadness for Rainbow because she didn't manage to join the Wonderbolts, the career she wanted to have for such a long time, even when she was a filly.. However, she didn't want to participate because soda is illegal, she didn't want to get in trouble with the law or even be exiled from Ponyville forever because of this.. She had a shocked look on her face.

Sweat race down her head. Fluttershy took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry Rainbow Dash but I don't want to be part of this.. it seems so risky!"

Rainbow Dash then had a sad look on her face and said, "But I helped you learn how to fly great like me!"

Fluttershy rolled her eyes, then said in an angry tone, "Yes, but this is wrong.."

Rainbow Dash groaned and said, "Well, you got to help me now.. I helped you in Flight School and... defended you against those bullies!" she had an angry look on her face, she is upset that Fluttershy doesn't want to join her, even after everything she did for her.

Fluttershy, being assertive said, "True, but I don't want to help you commit a crime... I am sorry but the answer is no!" Fluttershy turns around, Angel blew a raspberry, then after a few seconds, she could hear the door being slammed closed.

Fluttershy walked inside, she had a very angry look on her face, she then groaned, "I can't believe Rainbow Dash wants me to help her commit a crime, just because the Wonderbolts didn't accept her.." Angel nodded his head, he too thinks Rainbow Dash is being dumb by wanting to do this. He then grabs a long, orange, and juicy carrot and nibbles on it. He hasn't eaten much in a while.

Fluttershy then continued to rant while in an angry tone and look, "I am not risking my.. future and my home in Ponyville to help someone do something scandalous!"

Meanwhile outside of Fluttershy's cottage, Rainbow Dash turned around, she had an angry look on her face, her face started to glow a little red. She then took a deep breath and said, "Maybe Rarity will join my company.. plus Fluttershy will just ruin everything and will turn us in.." she then walked to Rarity's boutique. She walks up to the front door and rings the bell.

"Coming!" Rarity yelled from inside the building, Rainbow Dash could hear hoofsteps from inside, getting closer and closer to the front door. She had a patient look on her face but she was a bit mad about her argument with Fluttershy. Rarity then opened the door, she had a curious tone on her face.

She then said, "Oh hi, miss Dash.. what do you need?" she is a bit confused since she never comes here and Rainbow Dash looked a bit angry. Rarity waited for Rainbow Dash to answer.

Rainbow Dash then said, "Well, I didn't join the Wonderbolts, I was rejected.. I am chasing a new dream, selling soda!"

Rarity then raised an eyebrow and said, "Why are you selling soda, don'y you know it is illegal?" she had a shocked look on her face.

Rainbow Dash then answered, "Everypony loves soda, plus I can make a ton of bits, taxes are getting a bit higher and you could use an extra... helping of bits."

Rarity then shook her head and said, "Sorry no.. this is illegal and I have no interest in partaking this.. this could ruin my and my business's reputation... I don't want to risk anything... partaking in this will also will make it harder for me to get any sells, here in ponyville and Manehatten!"

Rainbow Dash sighed a defeated sigh and said, "Okay!" she then walked away with her head hung low, she had a sad look on her face. Rarity closed the door and laid down.

When Rarity laid down she asked, "Why would Rainbow do this.. what's gotten into that pony's mind?"

Rainbow Dash flew to Twilght's house in a hurry, ponies on the ground could hear sounds that sounded like zapping. Rainbow Dash flew so fast that she left behind a beautiful, rainbow trail on the blue sky. Rainbow Dash had a determined look on her face and her rainbow mane is flowing in the air. She can't wait to start her new dream, become famous and even make a ton of bits.
