Okay cute chapter. Lol. Do you one better with gross food; lil bro and I decided to see who could make the most disgusting dish. He won. Squid ink pasta mixed with the brine from tuna in a can along with oyster sauce and anchovies. Topped it off with par boiled alligator meat.

Totally agree with Ember, we can clearly see that Spike knows and admits that he really f**king up big time.
But, I'm actually starting to get tired of Ember's own anger bullshit as well, I just hate infighting.
And you are totally right that she didn't help Rachel to get Spike herself, only Tempest and Capper helped out?
In fact, it'll be a lot f**king easier if Ember just bring out the Dragon Army and just burn Snowball's place to the ground from the damn beginning!!!
As for Gemcity and Ruby. I have a feeling that they two willl get their own karma, and consequence as well.
Sure, I admit that back then. That I wanted Spike to actually get hit in the groin for being a total dick against Rachel.
But, not only that she technically already did it to him. ( When he was poison/consumed by rage by that damn snake hybrid. )
I only wanted Rachel to do that to him, she has the right.
But NOT those two specifically!?
What do you think of my opinion, and DanvilleBengal's?

I take both of you into consideration 🙂
I did have problems thinking how Ember would help when she is handling the war efforts while Rachel was off with Tempest and Capper to save Spike.
And as for the twins, they knew Rachel wouldn't hit Spike - they don't know the fact she did indeed punch him and kicked him when he was feral and in their minds well in case Gemcity, she thought she was doing Rach a favor. I got an idea how Gemcity's kick will come back to bite her.

And there is another topic I like to discuss, but it will be "short", in my standards;
Is the US military's stupidly bring freaking nukes through Equestia of all things a "good idea"!?
I get that Sombra and Blueblood framed the ponies for a all-out freaking war against Earth/Humanity, but why would we need nukes in a alien world that is quite essentially a "cartoon kid show" planet compared to ours!?
When we essentially already outgunned Equestria by having MANY different militaries from a whole lot of countries around the world.
We as Humanity being total bloody experts of the art of warfare, compared to the ponies that has a thousand years of peace compared to us.
Not to mentioned we have literal guns, tanks, jets/planes, warships/submarines, better armor, missiles, etc.... Compared to their fantasy/medieval times era's swords, spears, bows/arrows, maces, cannons, weak gold armor, etc...?
Sure, they got magic. But there's probably a way we can easily counter that with anti-magic armor, vehicles, or bullets/missiles. Humanity can adapt and improve after all. Not that we have to go that far, because the ponies are innocent anyway.
So after all that, why do we need nukes or even a single nuke in the first place? I bet the U.N. will most definitely disagree with this decision, because of moral/ethical reasons.
I bet Rachel will say something like this to defend the ponies and everybody else on Equestia, and accused America for being too overboard with a nuke.
And even IF it was "approved" because we just say screw it and nuke them, and we do bring nukes for some crazy last resort reason. WHY was it poorly guarded!?

Might get hated for this but I had Trump in mind....

Ironically, a jerk like Trump as president would be the type that would threaten the enemy with actually pushing "the button", and know what the consequences of actually literally pressing it would start---and practically would not give a f--k afterwards so as long as he could say we won...

But what year is the story set in the first place?
2017-2021 where's Trump's presidential terms are?

2020
Since A Week on a Cruise was posted around 2018, keeping it along that timeline. Spike and Rachel been together for eight months, Spike left, roughly a few weeks later Rachel discovered she's pregnant. Her pregnancy lasted ten months. Spike been gone 11ish months and the Portal opening has a month until it opens.
I hope my math is mathing so we're in 2020 timeline wise of President Cheeto Dust era (no Covid in this universe but still) correct me if i'm wrong please.

You're good for the timeline. It makes even more sense that from the beginning of A Week on a Cruise to where we are here in the latest chapter of The Stars that Bind Us that its close to about three years. We have a believable time where Rachel gradually went from human to dragoness and how she and the others reacted to the changes. She has a whelp that is fully dragon because daddy is all dragon, and more importantly, she is considered fully dragon--or at a point where her humanity is miniscule.
