Fluttershy improvement!!!
Interesting how Sunset didn't simply know this time.
Normally I'd be concerned by a statement like this, but this is Miss "Nature is So Fascinating" we're talking about here.
Heh. Leave it to Fluttershy to find a way to play the Entities off of one another. She does have a good track record with handling eldritch forces, though this is the sort of fire that'll burn you no matter how carefully you play.
As for Adagio, i do have to wonder who she's signed up with, especially how she knows more about Sunset than even Sunset herself. And there's the question of whether she's right. Can Sunset stop herself at this point? Fluttershy's swap may be essential to keep all of Canterlot from being consumed by various flavors of terror. Friendship is a kind of magic that doesn't try to swallow you whole, Sunset. Try not to forget that.
...on the way to the hospital.
Ah, we enter The Hunt.
Jackie, Pippin, Garble, Unnamed fourth puppy. You have been avenged. Rest easy.
The Hunt has always been an animal-based Fear and so works mostly by the rules of the wild. And wolves, even when domesticated, are loyal to those who are loyal to them. The doggy treats and tummy rubs likely helped.
Ffffffffffffffffffffffu-
Phew! Flutterhunt for the win!
I have my suspicions about Adaigo, though there weren't any webs in sight in her little cubbyhole. Still, means nothing: you're always six feet away from a spider in hiding at any given moment of the day. “The Twilight Zone theme plays”
I still insist on the triage technique for subsequent investigations, have Sunset stick with the written statements for as long as she can and insist on having everyone with emergency statements fill out a form anyway. The Eye can subsist on what it already has, though I'm worried about whether or not it intends to play nice like The Hunt seems to be. Guess we'll find out.
You, as always, are awesome!
I had never even heard of The Magnus Archives but I thank you for introducing it to me. I'm already on #4 – Pageturner.
