Chapter 4

New chapter sorry if its a little short. Also sorry it took so long, anyway the art for Tunneler’s pony form was made by DarkKing2. Thanks dude! Anyway enjoy this new chapter, if the pace is fast I apologize, I was in a rush to get things typed down, because you all loved it so much, so I didn’t want to disappoint. But here it is. 'Today is the day, I need to follow Twilight immediately, where ever she is so is Cadence, then eventually Discord'
I began digging through Ponyville making sure to be deep enough that I don't let myself be known. 'Can't have an angry mob, I don't want to end up being blown up by this world's version of Burt Gummer, if he even exists here that is'

I continued digging until I heard a train pull into the station. I heard Twilight and Cadence exchange pleasantries. I dug up until I was a few feet below. I brought one tongue up. "Aah" began Twilight. "Don't worry Twilight I'll take care of that snake" said Cadence. "Wait, Don't he's harmless" said Twilight. "But it looks dangerous" said Cadence.

"This is Tunneler, although this is just one of his tongues" explained Twilight. "Tongues?" Parroted Cadence. "He has 3, and he's underground right now, wait why are you here Tunneler?" asked Twilight. I began bringing another tongue up. I tried my best to make a "D" shape. "D?" Said Twilight. 'Yes' I made my tongues look like a check mark. I began making an "I" then an "S" then a "C" then an "O" then an "R" and finally another "D". "Discord?" Said Twilight.

I brought my tongues down. Just before Discord appears.

I tuned out their conversations and just followed them wherever they went. It wasn't long until Discord brought up the flower that would supposedly cure him from being blue.

It wasn't easy to follow them when they were in the sky, but I tried my hardest. Then they landed. I waited for them to get the tatzelwurm's attention. I didn't have to wait long. The tatzelwurm sprung out of the ground and both Twilight and Cadence began fighting it.

I waited for them to reach Discord and for the tatzelwurm to show up. As soon as it showed up began spinning as I dug through the ground and made a leap "SKREEEEEEEEEEEEE" I roared as I took it out before it could make Discord really sick. I went back underground and dug over to Twilight. I surfaced. "Tunneler!?! How did you find us?" asked Twilight. "That is Tunneler?" asked Cadence. "A GRABOID? HOW DID THAT THING GET HERE?" shouted Discord. "You know what he is?" asked Twilight. "SKREEEEEEEEE" I cried. I brought out a tongue and grabbed Discord's eagle claw.

I then took out another one and tapped Twilight a few times then to me, trying to make him understand. "I think he wants you to do something Discord" said Twilight. "What could he possibly want?" asked Cadence. I began spelling out things with my tongues.

"M-A-G-I-C" said Twilight. "He wants Discord to use magic?" asked Cadence. "What does he want me to do?" asked Discord.

'Damn I feel like thing from the Addams family'

I began spelling things out again, and I could hear Twilight writing things down "M-A-K-E-M-E-A-P-O-N-Y" wrote Twilight. "Make me a pony? That's what he wants? Can you even do that?" asked Cadence.

"I've made it rain chocolate milk from cotton candy clouds, made buffalo ballet dance, and made rabbits have the legs a giraffe, this however might be difficult, but not impossible" said Discord listing what he could do. Discord began charging up his magic. I began to feel all tingly all over.

Then a few moments later it stopped and I felt different. I could feel that I had limbs. I moved my new legs only to fall over. I began trying to open my new eyes. My vision was blurry at first but began clearing up.

I looked to Twilight. I began looking myself over.

I began trying to speak. I moved my new lips around. I started trying to speak. “Tttt” I said struggling. ‘Come on man, you just got to move your lips, speak you fool!’

“T-t-t-tw-t-tw-t-twi-t-Twil-twi-twili-t-Twilight-Twilight” I said finally able to speak actual words. “Oh my goodness, you said my name!” said Twilight jumping up and down excitedly. “C-can w-we g-go h-ho-home?” I asked still struggling to form words.

“Oh, yes, of course we can, Tunneler” said Twilight. I brought out my tongues which startled Both ponies. “He still has those tongues?” asked Twilight looking at Discord. “Ok, so it didn’t change everything about him, but still, it mostly worked, and if I must say that look of his suits him, quite nicely” said Discord. “I think he looks rather cute this way” said Cadence.

‘I wonder if i can still dig through the ground’ I began digging down and to my surprise, I was still able to tunnel through the ground like normal with my legs close to my body. I could even still hear with seismic vibrations. I popped up behind the trio, surprising them. “He can still dig too?” said Twilight in disbelief.

—Later at Fluttershy’s—

We all walked to Fluttershy’s. I was behind Twilight and Cadence. “Oh hi Twilight, Cadence, and who is he?” asked Fluttershy pointing a hoof at me. I came forward and showed her my cutie mark. “Hey, how could you get a Graboid as a cutie mark?” asked Fluttershy. I opened my mouth and let my tongues pick her up. “Eep!” She went. I put her down and I put a hoof to my chest. “T-t-Tun-neler” I said. Fluttershy looked me up and down then fainted.

If anyone is interested, I would like them to try and make a special Equestrian time period table, one that can go as far back as possible, and follow Equestria up to today. If you can do it, I’ll put it in the next chapter.

I know several humans who don't know what Precambrian is. I'm just surprised that somepony other than Twilight would know what Precambrian is.

That might be more difficult than you think. You'd have to take into count how a herbivore species became the dominant species on the planet and taking account how magic would alter evolution.
