Spike vs Flash Sentry

Miss Twilight Sparkle

In the hallway, a 17 years old girl named Twilight Sparkle is walking to her class while everyone follows her which disturb the young teenager.

‘Jeez, why is everyone follows me? They don’t know about me at all! I need to get to my class at once!’ She thought

Twilight start to walk faster to avoid from the crowds and they tries to catch up to her but someone stand in their way.

“Vice Principal Luna?!” They yelled in unison

She looked at them with a stern expression “Alright, leave the new student alone. This is her first day of the school and all of you already made a bad expression of yourselves, why are you follow her?”

One of student spoke up and his name is Bulk Biceps

“Because Twilight Sparkle happens to be daughter of a wrestling legend, Night Light! He’s also my idol too!” He squeaks excitedly “I just want to tell her that her dad is my hero!”

A shorter student named Snips also spoke up

“Not to mention that Night Light once took down Iron Will at ease! I mean despite Iron Will being taller and more muscular than Night Light, he ended Iron Will’s undefeated streak!”

A skinny student named Snails put his hand on his friend’s shoulder smiling

“I mean this is a golden opportunity to ask Twilight about her old man”

Luna sighed and look at the crowd with a disapproval look

“Just because she’s the daughter of your idol doesn’t mean you can stalk her.” Luna responded with very annoyance “If I catch all of you stalking her, I will suspend all of you for 2 weeks. Do you want to end up like Garble?”

The crowd sighed “No, Vice Principal Luna”

Her disapproval look changed into happy expression “Good, have a nice day” she smiles at them

Flash Sentry stomping his feet like an angry child as he’s walking to his class while angrily thinking about that cursed Spike.

‘If Hum Drum want to pick a fight with me, then by the god, I’ll give him one!’ He thought as he keep stomping before he ran straight into someone knocking them both over.

“Ow! Watch where you're going, you-“ he stopped at himself when he looked at who he had crashed into and his eyes went wide seeing it was Twilight Sparkle!

‘Oh shit!’ He thought panicked as he quickly get up and run into Twilight who is on the ground, “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean it! It was that blasted purple dragon who blinded my eyes!” He trying to come up with an excuse which cause Twilight to look at himself awkwardly.

“What?”

Flash realizes what he just did, he clears his throat and offering his hand to help her up “Sorry, I didn’t pay any attention to the surrounding”

“Yeah, I can tell” she’s amused by his action

Flash blushed and thought to himself ‘Come on, Flash! You can do it’ he look at her with a confidence look “The name’s Flash Sentry! What’s your?”

“My name is Twilight Sparkle” she smiled before she look at him with a serious expression “You’re not one of those crazy fans of my dad, are you?” She asked

“No! I don’t watch wrestling!” He chuckles sheepishly before he point his finger at something “Twilight, look, a talking pony!”

“Where?” She look around for this “talking pony”

While she look around, Flash quickly grab his “Night Light” watch and throw it in the trash can, he sighed in relief and he thought ‘Close call, Flash’

“I don’t see a talking pony”

“Sorry, that was just my hallucination! Just my hallucination, my bad!” He chuckles

“Okay?” Twilight respond in confused tone

“Anyway, I want to ask you something”

“Fire away”

Flash was about to ask her out when he get distracted by Twilight’s beautiful face ‘Oh dear, I think the goddess is using her charm on me! I must quickly ask her out!’ He about to open his mouth when his hand shut his mouth and hide away from Twilight ‘No no no no no no no no no no no! I can’t ask her out for a date! She barely know about me and if I ask her out, she’ll think of me as pervert like those anime that Hum Drum watched!’ Flash slapped himself “Put yourself together, Flash! This is your opportunity to ask her out! Come on!’ He breath in before he turn around to ask Twilight “As I was saying....” but to his surprise, instead of Twilight, he find an empty space, “Twilight?” His eyes become intense flames and his whole body is filled with flame as he angrily punch the locker and kick the trash can “I CAN’T BELIEVE I BLOW MY CHANCE TO ASK HER OUT! DAMN YOU, HUM DRUM!”

What Flash doesn’t know that Spike was watching him failing to ask Twilight out in a shadow background, he burst into hysterical laughter “Oh Flashy! You never fail to amuse me! It’s your fault! You blew your chance! And now, this will be my chance to ask Miss Twilight Sparkle!” He rubbed his hand like an evil genius.

At the school’s cafeteria, Twilight got her lunch and is finding spot for to eat, However, she couldn’t help but her first encounter with Flash make her feel odd about him.

‘What is up with him? He seem like a nice guy but for no reason, he starting to acting like a crazy man’ she thought before sitting down on an empty table as she proceed of eating her lunch, ‘Maybe, he just nervous’ she ponder on Flash’s erratic behavior.

Unknown to Twilight, behind the cafeteria’s door is Spike spying on her with his binocular while his eyes are filled with hearts.

“Look at this beautiful angel. How could she eat those burgers and yet still look hot?! Unlike her old man, she doesn’t seem as an athletic-type person.”

Spike suddenly to hallucinates Twilight looking at him and she point the finger to herself

“Spike, I want to make love with you” she smiled

“Oh Twilight, you are the most beautiful girl i ever meet!” he salivated at Twilight

“Ah... Spike?” Came another voice.

The voice cause Spike to come out of his hallucination and he find himself salivated at the cafeteria’s door, he turn around and the person standing in front of him is Thorax, his best friend (Beside a now former best friend, Flash)

“Thorax! Don’t sneak up on me!” Spike scolds Thorax

Thorax chuckles “Sorry, Spike” he grinned, “Hey Spike, why were you salivating on the door? Who does?”

Spike starting to sweat before he put on his confidence face.

“No one and I wasn’t salivating! Get to the program, Thorax!” He chuckles sheepishly

“Okay, why do you suddenly sound like my teacher?” Thorax teasing Spike

Spike scowls at Thorax

“Are you calling me old?!” Spike feeling insulted by Thorax’s joke

“Relax Spike, it’s just a joke! Can take a joke?” He chuckled

Thorax notices a binocular on Spike’s hand

“Spike, why do you carried a binocular? We’re not at the jungle!“

Before Thorax can say anything, Spike placing a his hand over his friend’s mouth and look around to see if anyone watching them if he act like a super spy agent or a fugitive who is on the run!

“Hey Spike! Let go of my mouth!” Thorax muffled due to Spike’s hand cover his mouth.

Spike removed his hand from Thorax’s mouth as he clear his throat.

“Listen Thorax, if you are not aware, I am in love with the new student, Twilight Sparkle!” He smiled

Thorax personally looked at Spike in a state of flabbergast for few seconds before he burst into hysterical laughter.

10 Minutes Later

After the whole ten minutes of Thorax laughing, he finally calm himself down and look at Spike if he was telling a joke

“Man, Spike! You know how to make me laugh!” He couldn’t help but continues to laugh more at Spike’s “joke”

Spike frowned at Thorax

“I’m serious, Thorax! I really do love her!”

His statement stop Thorax’s laughing

“You’re serious, Spike?” He looked at Spike and he realizes Spike is serious about this “I mean, it’s very unrealistic for someone to fall in love with the person they barely knows in one day, you just can’t!”

“Don’t doubt me, Thorax! Twilight is my soulmate!” He smiled before he frowned “But there’s an obstacle that try to prevent me to be with Twilight and his name is Flash Sentry.”

“Flash Sentry? But Spike, he’s your number one best friend!” Thorax yelled in disbelief

“Not anymore.” Spike said coldly

“But why? What happens between you two?” Thorax asked

Spike sighed “Well....”

While Spike telling Thorax about what leads to the friendship between him and Flash falls apart, Twilight is sitting alone at the table while eating her lunch.

“Hey, you seem lonely”

Twilight look up and see Sunset and others standing in front of her.

“Hi, my name is Sunset Shimmer and this is Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie” she extended her hand to Twilight Sparkle.

Twilight curiously look at them with a raised eyebrow

“You’re not part of one of those crazy fan clubs of my dad, are you?”

Rainbow looking at the ceiling whiling blowing a whistle

“Maybe” she muttered before Sunset nudge her shoulder

“None!” Sunset assures her

“Good” Twilight shook Sunset’s hand “Twilight Sparkle”

Pinkie Pie get between Twilight and Sunset and shaking her hand with Twilight....hard

“MY NAME IS PINKAMENA DIANE PIE! But you call me, Pinkie Pie and I can’t tell you that we are going to be bestie friends!” She rapidly shaking her hand with Twilight causing Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Fluttershy pulled her away from Twilight who is feeling dizzy

“Go easy on her, Pinkie!” Applejack using her strength to pull her away

“I think you ate too much sugar, Pinkie” Rainbow joke

“Just because she’s your friend doesn’t mean you can go crazy on her!” Fluttershy scolds Pinkie

“I’m sorry but I couldn’t help it!” Pinkie couldn’t contain her excitement about making Twilight her friend.

After feeling dizzy, Twilight regains her composure and Sunset put her hand on her shoulder

“You’re okay?” Sunset asked

“Yeah, I’m fine”

“Get used to this, Pinkie love to get exciting over everything. They don’t call her the resident’s party planner for nothing”

“Right” Twilight deadpanned

Out of the group, Twilight notices one particular member who look downer and her name is Rarity.

“What with her?” Twilight asked Sunset

Sunset sighed “Rarity still feeling guilty for what she say to her ex-boyfriend”

“What happened?”

Not wanting to bring up bad memories for Rarity, Sunset drag Twilight to the trash cans so Rarity wouldn’t have to hear about her bad breakup.

“She told him off by saying he’s out of her league because she thought the relationship between her and him wouldn’t work out. After he left her in rage, Rarity realizes what she have done and she felt very guilty for what she said to him.”

Twilight cover her mouth

“Oh my god” she gasped

“Yeah” Sunset give a comfort face to Twilight “She’s not the only one who go through breakup, I used to be in relationship with someone but we end up get into a lot of arguments to the point I lost count of how many times we get into the arguments. I told him that it’s best to be friends because I didn’t want to destroy the bond between us.”

Twilight is surprised that Sunset took her breakup well and to Sunset’s surprise, she hugged her.

“Oh, Sunset! I’m really sorry for what you and Rarity go through.”

“It’s okay, Twilight.” Sunset reassures her as she hugged her back, “Sometimes the relationship don’t work out the way we wanting to be, we just have to deal with reality.”

They release each other before heading back to the table.

After Spike told Thorax about what happens between him and Flash, Thorax looked at him in disbelief

“He tried to spit at you?!” Thorax gasped

“Yup”

“Why would a kind kid like him would do so despicable! Very low of him! I hope Twilight doesn’t pick a scumbag like Flash Sentry”

Spike grinned “Don’t worry, Thorax. I will make sure Twilight pick me over him” Spike turn around and about to walk in the cafeteria before he turn his head and look at Thorax

“Hey Thorax, make sure to inform Ember. I don’t want her to be locked out of the loop regarding this situation”

“Are you sure?” Thorax seem hesitant

“Yes, she’s my number two best friend after you, Thorax. Best friends don’t keep secrets from each other” he grinned

“Okay, that’s your wish” Thorax left to inform Ember

Spike look at the cafeteria door and rubbing his hand together as well cracking his bone-neck.

“Showtime.”

He walked in the cafeteria to ask Twilight out but he stopped when he see Rarity sitting with Twilight.

“Oh great! Twilight is sitting with Rarity of all people!” He whined, “Did Flash pay her to sit down with Twilight so I wouldn’t be able to ask her out?!” He blame Flash on this even though Flash have nothing do with this and he walk through the cafeteria door angrily and look at the ceiling if he was looking at the sky.

“GOOD LORD! HOW YOU FRUSTRATE ME, FLASH SENTRY!”

He angrily stomping like an upset child and walk away from the cafeteria to be away from Rarity.

“Plan B!” He say to himself

At Sentry’s home, Spike is packing his stuff as he doesn’t want to be near toward Flash Sentry and taking all of his video games with him while Flash angrily glares at his former best friend.

“Where do you think you going, Hum Drum?” Flash angrily asked

“A place that is far away from you, Flashy!” Spike retort

“You know Mom and Dad won’t be happy of you leaving the house”

“Who care?! Your Mom and Dad are on their vacation! They don’t give a shit about this situation! They probably are having wonderful times of dancing, partying and kissing! I wouldn’t be surprised that they wouldn’t notice I move out once they come back from their vacation!”

“Don’t you dare talk about my parents, Hum Drum!” Flash snapped “Plus, do you know a place to live at?!”

Spike glares at Flash as he finished packing his stuff “Yes, I know someone who would support me more than you, liar!”

Spike grab his suitcase and walk away from Flash, not even bother to look at him and he grab the door and he say his final words to his former best friend

“I hope Twilight pick me cause I wasn’t acting erratic toward her unlike you, Flashy” he give a smug face to Flash before he exit the house.

Flash angrily walk away from the empty room of his now arch-nemesis and walk to his room and land on his bed.

“So that’s how he wants to go down”

Flash grab his smartphone and calling one of his best friends

“Micro, I want you and Sandalwood to make me gadgets. Why? Because I got a pest to deal with” he give a smug look and rubbing his chin like a crazed supervillain.

Spike arrives at the house with his suitcase on him.

“I hope he will take me in”

Spike walk to the house and knock on the door while he blow a whistle. After couple of second, the door is open and the person who is living the house is none other than.....

“Hello Discord” Spike grinned

“Spike? What are you doing here?” Discord asked in confused tone while rubbing his eyes

“Discord, can I live with you?”

Author's Note:

I was thinking about incorporating Flash’s parents in the story but I didn’t want to use characters from Banshee531 especially Trail Blazer and Misty Veil since those characters are his babies and I don’t want to mess up his babies. So, I decide to leave the parents out of the story since this is about the rivalry between Spike and Flash Sentry.

I am very tempted of whether or not to have Scootaloo to be Flash’s sister since Banshee531 already used that idea, so I am tempted about this idea.

To those who are wondering why I made Night Light a wrestling legend, well if Twilight is going to be popular girl, I want to find a reason for all students followed her because I didn’t want a generic “Oh! She’s so hot! Let follow her!”. Plus, is there’s a story where her pop is a wrestler? I mean I read a story where he’s a director of research center and is more important than Celestia of all people! I’m reference To Build a Winning Formula by https://www.fimfiction.net/user/335340/Snow+Fire. You should check on that story!

Also, to set up the climax of the story too!

The reason why Sunset doesn’t mention the name Spike or Flash Sentry to Twilight when she told her about the breakup that she and Rarity went through is because she doesn’t want to give bad name to Spike and Flash and she think Twilight will act hostile toward them if she mention their name to her.

I made Rarity feel guilty because I worried that people would get upset how I made Rarity like a bitch in this story and I don’t want that! So I try to make her feel if she went too far on saying things to Spike.

The first meeting between Flash and Twilight play same by crashing into each other but I made one change where Flash acting erratically toward her cause everything have to be different!
