The organs had been unrecognizable lumps of what might have been ash. Their thick armored plates had become a dull grey, as opposed to lustrous black, and were brittle to the touch. Their eyes had gone completely dark, not even the faintest spark of Love kindling inside of them. The workers and other warrior who had died outside of the laboratory chamber had been killed the exact same way.
Kind of reminds me of how the typhon kill people in Prey.
Seven units completely drained, should be good for at least two months of careful rationing. Normally an incompletely compiled love distribution system should be fatal without support, but apparently enough was done for such functionality. Unable to change? Perhaps not in the traditional sense...
