I don't know. 5E isn't quite as fun as 3.5 or the 1st and 2nd. They took a LOT of stuff out to make the game easier and simpler so younger, and dumber, people can play it. I mean hell, used to be you needed to essentially be a professional mathematician to play the game with equations determining everything. Then there was the dozens if not hundreds of playable races, and spellcrafting. That and in 5 you have a hard cap for your stats that can rarely be pushed tiny amounts whereas in 3.5 you could make an entire team of godslayers. Which admittedly is a huge part of why they took so much out. Dungeon Masters got tired of having to throw entire pantheons of gods at one Barbarian for a fair fight. Fun times, even funner stories to tell and be heard... I feel I have to note I'm just complaining about the edition, not the story. Good premise and start. I just dislike how much they've removed from it. At the least I would've liked for them to keep the races. They really did remove races to basically nothing.
If this is your first attempt let me be the first one to say, you are talented my friend. The firsts chapter alone is 9/10. Honestly It’s amazing that you manage to pull this at your first attempt.
and second the ability to negate the negative effects of both Fire & Ice, don't want you dying of heat, or freezing to death. " I joked. Did you mean he joked?
Ooooohhh!
You have peaked my interest indeed.

I feel that it swapped perspectives. Plus other clues later down the chapter makes this true.
