“I am glad you changed yours when you took the crown, though. Numbers are a pain.”
They certainly are from Celestia's perspective. Bad enough that royal lineages try to look the same, how's she supposed to keep Aurora III distinct from Aurora VI?
Celestia had the spoon halfway to her mouth, and she paused, suddenly feeling a queasiness. “Salmon juice?”
My thoughts exactly. And that doesn't get into the chemistry-twisting enigma that is fish oil tea.
...and even her cutie mark was innocuous.
Not that we'll ever know what it is.
“Two… three… three, you have to do step three, Fizzle,” Twilight mumbled before she looked up and blinked.
Wait, wait, wait. Twilight Sparkle. Is teaching someone else. How to dance. Sorry, I just need a moment to reboot my suspension of disbelief.
Needless to say, I approve of the winner of the hoedown.
But I have raised students before, and I know what happens if you grip too tight. She’ll grow to resent and hate you.
"She may also run away to another universe, but that may be something of a unique circumstance."
“Hey! There’s a lot of hay in that barn!” Pinkie observed. “Wanna go roll around in it?”
Okay, I'm willing to give even odds on Pinkie knowing Novo was there.
Now, I believe I owe you a Magic card. There's not much to work with at first glance, but with the sort of story, one must look a little deeper.
Competitive Hoedown 1G Instant Target creature you control gets +3/+3 until end of turn. Clash with an opponent. If you win the clash, other creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn. (Each clashing player reveals the top card of their library, then puts that card on the top or bottom. A player wins if their card had a higher converted mana cost.)
I really appreciate how continuous this story is, if that makes sense--I like how it's just one thing happening after another, all these different little mini-adventures for the two to go on. And they play off each other pretty well, which was super endearing.
Until Pinkie and Skystar stole the show, that is. They were so adorable here!

Okay this moment was really Pinkie Pie even for Pinkie Pie. How does that work? Oh wait, I just remembered. It's Pinkie Pie, don't question it.
