Thank you for this story. I will show myself out. Take care and... umm... I don't know, change the tags and add a "Swingers" or "Adultery" tag somewhere. Good day.
I just look at it from a different angle, and don't really concern myself with how they approach it. It shows a kind of ephermerality. Relations are mere words, or less. But that is just my take. I'm glad you like it. The first chapter was fine. It was just one couple. The second was not and that is the base of it.
I saw the comment about misogyny by Bronystories, and at first I just disagreed, but now I'm thinking that this is probably the most profoundly non-misogynistic, anti-rape-culture story I've read on this site. Here's why:
1) Pre-negotiation. Fleur and Fancy both go over what they want, rather than just diving in with Fancy taking the lead and either doing exactly what he wants, or guessing based on what she wanted last time. Fleur specified both what she wanted to happen (humiliation, power play) and what she did not want to happen (pain, hitting). This both helps ensure that they have lots of fun, and also helps kill the rape-culture trope of 'miscommunication,' especially in relationships, where the perp says everything started out like it always did, and he/she just didn't realise the victim didn't want it.
2) Safewords and a mercy word, pre-negotiated, and a safety signal for when talking is, ahem, less convenient.
3) Fancy asks for explicit, enthusiastic consent before shagging. He does it in a roundabout way to keep the fantasy going, but asks nontheless. This gives her a chance to say her safeword, mercy word or anything before the game moves on.
4) Fleur uses her mercy word as soon as it doesn't feel good. She doesn't try to grin and bear it because Fancy is having fun and that would be raising a fuss, or anything like that. Fancy backs off the moment she uses it, and even more importantly doesn't act wheedling, huffy or passive-aggressive about it. Not even in a jokey hah-look-at-you-stopping-our-fun-sex way. Especially not in a jokey hah-look-at-you-stopping-our-fun-sex way. He takes a short break from the game to smile and reassure her.
I don't think I've seen a clopfic on this site, kinky or otherwise, that does all those things. I can think of a few that use enthusiastic consent, and one or two that negotiate safewords. I can't think of any that mention pre-negotiation, which should be an important part of even non-kinky sex, or any fic where a safeword (or mercy word) is actually used.
So kudos, not just for making an awesome clopfic, but for making an awesome clopfic with the best and most coherent sexual ethics I've ever seen on FimFiction.
1154741 I don't even know what to do with all these feels. I just... thanks for that. It means so much to me to hear such positive words from someone who is pretty obviously kinky, and who knows their shit about consent and negotiation and so on. You've made my day.
Not exactly a fan of this chapter. I thought it would be just Applejack, not Rarity as well. As I already stated, I am not a real big fan of RariPants. Good effort, but again, not a fan of RariPants.
That can happen sometimes. I encounter folks I cannot understand. That's just a part of life I suppose.
I'm not necessarily arguing for exclusive monogamy. I guess I just view many relationships with a bit more weight and gravity. Primarily because I enjoy the "end of the journey" relationships where there has been a MEANING to getting together. and there would be no need to involve anyone else. It would be entirely superfluous.
But again, that's only me. I can almost see the idea but then all that comes to mind is "ephermeral." So, that's all.
Hey, I'm not awesome for pointing it out, you're awesome for writing it
I'm not that kinky, but that's more because I'm lazy and cba to find a pantsfuntimes partner more than once a year. And I learned most of what I know about sexual ethics from the inimitable Cliff Pervocracy and the unparalelled Captain Awkward I remember reading those guys for the first time and being all YES YES THIS THIS ALL THIS THIS IS SO RIGHT!
1161084 Oh jeez yes, I love the Pervocracy. Cliff is the person who set me on the path of learning about sexual ethics and gender equality too. I recommend No Seriously, What About Teh Menz? too, although you're probably already familiar with that blog.
1154872 It's been expanded well beyond the original 60-minute content, so don't be too impressed. : D
1155814 I've never heard the name RariPants, and it makes me giggle every time I read it. Don't worry, different partners are coming (if you know what I mean).
1162747 What I meant was is that I thought that it was just about a married couple and their sexual adventures. It's an interesting twist though to see others get in on it. Talk about an open marriage.
1162274 And anypony else their delightfully... cultured... tastes end up involving, I'd say. Though a 'open relationship' or 'swingers' tag wouldn't be remiss, I wouldn't include Adultery, since everypony's fully consenting.
Also, what Chuck said. All of what Chuck said, because it's far more elegantly put than I would have managed. I love, love, love seeing atypical relationships handled in what the healthy, SSC/RACK (Safe, Sane, and Consensual/Risk Aware Consensual Kink) way is, just because it's so unusual.
1270524 Hehe. Glad you liked it. More chapters are in the works. I've written a few more Fleur/Fancy stories for Sexty Minute Ponies in the last couple weeks, and those will all be making it into this story after they are revised and expanded.
Holy balls there's more!
EDIT: DAAAAAAAMMMNN
Muy bueno!!!
Wait, what?
Well, that was unexpected.
Thank you for this story. I will show myself out. Take care and... umm... I don't know, change the tags and add a "Swingers" or "Adultery" tag somewhere. Good day.
1154254 1154421 Glad you liked it. : D
1154490 "Adultery." Heh. Bye!

I thank you kindly for your civility.

I'd love for Applejack to show me the ropes, hehehe.

Nice. Keep on doing these.
Oh, and if people are calling this 'rape' of any kind, they're talking out of their arse.
Holy legendary debauchery, Batman.
...I'll be in my bunk.

1162274 Fancy and/or Fleur will be in every story, yes.

HEY, Sam Axe! You sir have said everything I thought about this fanfic. If I knew you in person, I'd buy you a beer or a mojito.
