"Upset is an understatement. When the court date arrived, my parents denied ever putting their hands on me, but when I testified, my dad tried to grab me and choke me to death. The judge sentenced my dad to death via electric chair, but my mom got a life sentence with no chance of parole. In that one moment before she was carted off to prison, she gave me one last look and mouthed out these words: "I'm sorry, Chance. I never should have abandoned you, be strong, sweetie. I cried so hard that day, I was in pieces when the harsh reality had finally hit me: I had no parents to watch over me and my mom showed remorse after all the pain she had inflicted on me," I keep going.
This little part actually make me cry a little bit great job IsraelYabuki
9502194 He might deserve death, but no one deserves the electric chair. Utilizing an electrical current, the electric chair kills you by cooking you very slowly from the inside out. And even then, there’s been people who survived being in the electric chair. It’s more painful than any form of torture, there’s a chance for survival, and I see it as the most inhumane form of execution. i don’t even think it’s legal anymore. Nor do I even think child abuse is worth killing a man. Life in prison, sure. But killing someone? Actually taking someone’s life even if the kid’s still alive? If he kills the kid, eye for an eye. But if the kid is alive with no permanent physical ailments, then the parent only deserves prison period. Not to be killed, even if they left scars.
this is great as usual but No matter how horrible chances parents were I dont think anyone has ever been given the death penalty or life in prison for child abuse. Also if someone is given the death penalty and they live in one of the 8 states that still has an electric chair, They have to actually request to be executed on the electric chair, By default death row inmates are given the lethal injection. Chances backstory would be more believable if both the parents had been given a more realistic sentence of something like 10 years in prison and a permanent restraining order while chance would receive witness protection.
9507917 In my opinion yes you should change it. Maybe their sentences 10 years for the mom 20 years for the dad and a life time restraining order and witness protection for Chance.
I was crying when I read the story. Poor Chance, he deserves better.
Tho, sir, can I make a Gacha mini-story of this crediting you? (without the sex scenes ofc, it's prohibited in Gacha, sorry if this is offensive to you)

"She'll makes it up?" What's that supposed to mean?
This chapter works well, great work
Good chapter. Midnight Sparkle showed compassion for Chance. Just like what he did for her.
Oh my goodness! That chapter got me so emotional.
100% worth reading this story
