I feel as if the story has lost it's way of pacing by this point, and cannot read on. I am intrigued by the idea, but a soldier of the Reich, especially one with an iron cross, would never, ever give up on his own country like that. Even though he probably never could go back, he would always remain loyal to the Reich. That's why I simply can't read on, since this is becoming a strong issue in my mind. He just simply discards everything. That's not how the mind works when faced with such a position.
And again the pacing here your story derailed completely. iron were a soldier and grew up in a total propaganda based economy just thrashing all of his believes is way out of character. the story is way too informative and too much centered on the hook line no details iron was like "well yeah I ain't no pony got me there" and everypony else just "well doesn't change anything no problem there " I know its hard (I'm writing on a fan fiction which plays In the time before WW II and it's pretty difficult to grasp the mindset of that time) I would also need quite the time to call a new environment my home. It feels like a day since iron stranded in equestria. Not much time to acclimate
And btw ...really? Mr Quackers? Can't quite picture Celestia there ...I know it's funny but....
5241990 Well, I'm just saying, if he had enlisted as the German equivelant of an E-1, or was conscripted by the Wehrmacht when he was 20 in 1943( as he seemed to have a ton of war experience prior to the retreat he faced as a tanker), he would have been born around 1923, and the Nazi Party was voted into power in 1933, therefore he grew(to age ten), from 1923-1933 where most propaganda wasnt being put up yet.
You seem to have forgotten where you were going with this...
Thank you, Steve. I didnt know that already...
Anywho, im not trying to start a flame war, this was just a friendly comment.
