Candy is lying..... Nightmare Night increases her powers. I wouldn't be surprised if Candy does something unexpected. Plus she has her Jelly running around with Diamond, no doubt getting stronger with each meal and she has the geodes....
Honestly if I was Sunset, I wouldn't take that offer. Candy has a lot of nerve asking for a deal after she ate and killed all of Sunset's friends and by extension, friends would be considered family since she's from another world.

"When I do, you'll be just as stuck as Pumpkin Patch was, unable to pass on. That wasn't a fate I wished on her,"
I might've missed something major, probably in the 3rd story, because I haven't read it for a while, but did the Candy Mare actually have a tinge of care for Pumpkin Patch? Or is she just messing with Sunset and everyone else by extension?
Having a major gut feeling it's the latter, knowing what she is, but it still makes me curious.
Edit: Reread "The Last Something Sweet to Bite", yeah my gut was right
10036442 It’s a little nebulous. By her very nature the Candy Mare doesn’t really care about anyone or anything and exists only to punish and cause suffering.
However, Pumpkin was her first host and it doesn’t seem like there was any real malice towards her, at least to start with. Given the circumstances of Candy Mare’s creation, there was probably even a little sympathy, a little pity, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say that there was any real ‘care’ there beyond the care the Candy Mare puts into preserving her current host. (And we’ve seen how horrific that ‘care’ can be a couple of times with what happened to Luna and Rainbow Dash in earlier stories.)
At the very least, in the scene in question, Candy wants to give Sunset the impression that she cares about what happens to her hosts.
The mouth on the jelly girl twitches up into a grin, not unlike what you might see on the face of a young child having successfully grossed out an adult, before it closed seamlessly with no sign it had ever been there. When Diamond Tiara looked back, two light pink eyes had bobbed to the surface of the creatures 'face'. They floated around for a moment before structures like eyelids set them in place. After a few experimental blinks, they actually looked rather natural. That is, if you didn't realize that they had previously belonged to Peppermint Twist.
This is straight up a sitcom now. The first few were masterpieces in horror. Now, we're going the way of all good horror movie series and taking ourselves a lot less seriously.
.... so.... sunset is going to harness the candymare's powers? like agent venom? that's be SWEET(no pun intended)!
