After Trixie and Rainbow Dash get more comfortable with the odd relationship they have formed, there comes a point where their friendship grows to something much more.
Welcome to another piece in the "Oddship" universe. I really wanted to continue this odd couple, what with their relationship in its infancy. I want to see them grow—together.
As stated, updates to this will be slow, but at least one a month.
'Complaints', lets see... Going back to the first book (and relying on my crappy memory), as usual the relationship seemed to start too quickly, a bad habit of yours, but only the start, the rest has ranged from good to great Why didn't Shade/Dash reveal herself to Fluttershy? I think it would've made things interesting, and considering their friendship, its canon that they've been friends since childhood with Dash protecting her from bullies, I would think Fluttershy would keep Dash's secret regardless of how she felt about it, plus it would give her the opportunity to reveal her own interest in stuff like this (wow, now there's a run on sentence)
Beyond that, as I said, quite enjoyable as always and I can't wait to see where it goes
8116003 Its not the length, its the content. Assuming my memory isn't total crap (a big assumption), Dash goes to find out what Trixie is up to as she doesn't trust her, and then immediately jumps at the chance to become her assistant. I would think that Dash would need some convincing before doing that, nothing huge, prolly just Trixie asking her and promising to prove that she's not up to anything.
Oh I know its not over, just seems like a missed opportunity since its an easy an obvious way for things to go. Plus it benefits Shade, he (?) gets more belly rubs if Flutters stays, right?
It was an odd situation for both of them, Trixie laying on her back, pinned under the other pony, while Shade stared down into her eyes, it took Trixie no time at all in giving the guiding words, laying the foundation, building Shade's tower back up. It came time for the top row. "Trixie's pet will feel good when she follows a command, and extra good when she is told she is a 'good pet.' " Trixie watched Shade, her eyes gazing down almost sightlessly, nod a little. "But above all, Trixie's pet is the Greatest and most Powerful pet, because she IS Trixie's pet." With that, Trixie reached up with her magic and tugged, pulling the corset-like part of Shade's outfit tight, squeezing the sporty mare into an even more defined shape.
I love you, Trixie. Dash knew the words wouldn't leave Shade's lips, she wanted to say them, to make sure Trixie knew, but she knew the best way to show her Master just how much she did love her. Shade leaned down and licked Trixie's nose, getting a gasp and a snort from her. This really is so awesome.
8116017 Ok, my memory was a bit flakey, but looking back, it seems a tad rushed... Did Trixie use hypnosis to convince Dash to assist her in the first place? I suppose that's the issue is that it seemed to me that Dash was too ready to agree to be her assistant considering that hostility she showed to her (
Dash was right up front and center, even before any other crowd had arrived. It wasn't even dark but the pegasus couldn't resist the chance to show Trixie up. "Heh, 'great and powerful'? I don't think so."
I remember you saying you've already got this story planned out, but I just came across a pic about the two of them (not in this 'verse, since the pic is from 2014), and my first thought upon seeing it was, "I kind of hope one of their dates in this story has a scene similar to this".
8123340 So this story, as well as any other later stories in this series (as in the Oddship 'verse) will take place in a pseudo AU that ignores everything post season 6? I mean, I figured that's what would ultimately be the case, but this is one of those things I feel the need to double check.

My ONE criticism is this part:
I get that she was panicking at the moment, but I don't think she'd forget about Starlight THAT easily.
Otherwise, this was definitely off to an adorable start, and I already like it more than the original.
8115362 Ack, fixed it.
Not bad, mostly good.

8115990 16k words wasn't enough "lead up" to them getting together in this? Sorry, not all my stories can be 100k+.
As for Shy/Dash, this isn't finished. This is just chapter one.

8116008 You may want to reread the other story.

Here's the link in question.
I'm curious as to one aspect of the story, and I'll start by asking one question:
Does this whole story take place prior to Celestial Advice?
8123323 This story was not planned with S7 in mind at all.
