Just out of curiosity, how did you decide the elemental powers for Moondancer, Ember, and Starlight Glimmer?
8396415 Moondancer for Earth because her Equestria self as tough and stubborn as it, Ember for wind because her Equestria self flies, and water for Starlight because Sunset is more fire and Starlight is like another opposite of Sunset just as she is of Twilight
You can't screw it up any more than Makoto Itou did. Don't be a dick about it, have a conscience, make an effort to communicate, and you should be fine.
8396432 They're more like foils than they are opposites. While they each have different personalities and modus operandi, there is a connecting thread that links them together; a talent in magic with a tendency to become lost in their ambitions (Twilight with her desire to isolate herself in her studies, Sunset with her desire to prove herself as individual at the expense of others, and Starlight with her desire to make it so that no one is considered lesser at the expense of how other people feel about it).
I would say that Starlight would be closer to Earth, whereas Moondancer would be closer to Water. Starlight is resolute in her convictions, to the point that it seems like she's an unstoppable force with the strength of the world at her back. But need one only break a boulder with a seed, as time and consideration can cleave it with the growth of a mighty oak (like how it took Twilight the right words and a patient heart to eventually weather her down). Moondancer is one who avoids interactions with people, building up her feelings from the inside. But the removal of one twig is all it takes to collapse the dam and bring about a grand deluge (plus the Moon controls the ocean's tide... yeah, that's all I got).
I figured Ember would be wind because she can shout like Torch, but the wings make more sensesense.
And Sunset controls fire, because she's a phoenix, plus bacon hair.
8396452 Spike keeps in touch with his girls from Canterlot, but it's starting to not feel enough for him. So that's why he's tempted to do stuff with his older childhood friends.
8397646 I figured as much.
The Superego response would be to inform the new girls that while he appreciates their company, he only sees them as friends.
The Id response would be to see them as nothing more than meat puppets with archetypal personalities, delighting in their touch and company as he remains blissfully non-confrontational.
Then there's the Ego response, where he does pretty much what he's doing now. He worries about making them upset, and while that would be true for a moment, he solves his problems by being the nice, caring guy they've come to know and love from the first The Girls of My Life (the circumstance was largely the same there, but instead of dealing with six people who want him all to themselves, he's dealing with a second group of six people who want him all to themselves with the addition of the first group who's learned to be fine with sharing).
His true tribulation will be to turn the two groups of six into one group of twelve. And the only thing I can see changing up the dynamics is Starlight, who seems to be obsessed with him. Let's just hope she's not the Kotonoha Katsura who kills off the collective of other girls known as Sekai Saionji... and takes Spike's head as a keepsake on her nice boat.
Ok so Spike's first harem is the Power Princesses and the new team is Spike's new harem but I feel like Spike will be threatened by Thorax because if this escalates the way I think it might. Thorax will be Humdrum 2.0 and conflict will emerge with a huge "battle" into trying to swoon Spike and Thorax. Who will be victorious. Find out definitely not next time on Dragon Ball Z.
Foreshadowing, perhaps?
The first contact of passion has been made. Prepare to hit troubled waters.
8413781 Yes, the times with Ember and Sunshine and Moonlight were all them making a move on him, but here he truly made contact first
I think Spike wanted Moondancer's mane down because it reminds him of Twilight. Not quite sure how to feel about that.
I wonder...
I see what you did there
