1051279 No King Ghidorah is alive and well, alsoo his father Grand king. factions make me feel happy like there are leaders and ranks. the Kiryu talking about King Ghidorah is a reference to a past event which will be told in the next chapter.
Dude, Gigantis is a dub only name, and so is the idea of 'her' being female. (And given that the dub still refers to Gigtantis as a he I'm not even sure where the idea of Gigantis being female comes from.) Gigantis is actually another (male) Godzilla of the same species, as shown in the original Japanese version of the film. He is also presumed to be the same Godzilla that emerges from the iceberg in the Showa era in King Kong vs. Godzilla. Kiryu also doesn't wear armor. He was built using the skeleton of the first Godzilla as his skeleton and using DNA still locked within the skeleton for the bio-computer, which is partly why the ghost of the first Godzilla still haunts the body.
As far as Kong vs. Godzilla itself goes, originally the project didn't even involved Godzilla. The original story was supposed to be Kong vs. Frankenstein's Monster, though I'm not sure how that was going to work. Toho initially was receptive to the idea of doing a movie with Kong but swapped out the Monster for a creature called Prometheus (which I know next to nothing about.) Godzilla was decided on as the new opponent for Kong to celebrate Toho's anniversary, and even they knew the classic Kong couldn't hope to stand up to Godzilla for more than thirty seconds. Hence, Kong was remade in a Toho style. The ending is left ambiguous despite Toho claiming Kong won. But as Kong went out to sea rather than staying in Japan at that point, I've always been of the opinion that Godzilla drove him off.
As a note, I'm an unabashed Godzilla nerd and have every film they've put out. And as a further note, Heisei era Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla are more likely to be considered father and son, as Godzilla's genetic material became the basis from which SpaceGodzilla was formed, rather than sharing the same mother.
1051750 i was wondering when someone like you was going to show up, someone who can bring forth good arguments. you need to keep in mind i'm loyal as hell to all things Godzilla.
Kiryu in the movies is as you said a skeletal design. However the Unleashed version is a Godzillasaur in armor, tank bred to fight Godzilla Also about Kong I'd like to point out that in the Japanese film Godzilla was considered the victor on screen.
American films had Kong emerge from the sea, while the Japanese one I found had Godzilla do a victory roar, with Kong nowhere in sight.
Space Godzilla would if anything be his uncle if I was going by that timeline. I'm going by my own timeline which will greatly anger my fellow hardcore fans... At least that's my projections. I'm building my own timeline linking fights, and monster allies. Example: Jet Jaguar will remember fighting along side the second generation Godzilla (meaning after 1954 died) against Megalon. Destoroyah will remember killing jr, and fighting his father. I'm forging my own world with Toho events being the back ground. Also this Space Godzilla is second generation his father being killed before, and is much more intelligent and patient.
My world will have holes in it, but that's because the Millennium series didnt have that much on continuation. I will do more character development on my version of each monster in future chapters, remember this is my world they just live in it.
1051750 Oh and I almost forgot, Gigantis. I know it was a dub, but Toho also said in literary notes to books on monsters that Gigantis could be considered a female Godzilla, and that is the reason she emerged after the 1954 died. I am just mashing up all the information I could find there are a lot of reasons something gets dubbed a different name. One of the many reasons Gigantis was formed was for the idea of a second female Godzilla. There are probably more secure reasons, but this is a reason i'd like to exploit.
Okay, 1, never played Unleashed. I will have to look into that.
2. No. This is a long-standing urban legend that Toho flat out dispelled, and which is also addressed in the Official Godzilla compendium. However for unknown reasons the popularity of this legend has kept it going. Kong swims out to sea in both versions, however Godzilla and Kong both roar at the end, as a way of having the creatures 'take a bow'. Godzilla's roar is omitted in the American version for aesthetic reasons.
3. By all accounts, SpaceGodzilla shares partial traits with Biollante, as it was stated that she was supposedly immortal. Given that SpaceGodzilla was given two origins in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (and a third one in the Trendmasters toyline), one of which involved some stray Godzilla cells comprised of Biollante's genetic template being part of the creation of SpaceGodzilla, it is likely that— assuming time travel does not remove Biollante from history (which by all logical rights it should have)— if Biollante is partly responsible for SpaceGodzilla's creation rather than Mothra, that the creature can simply reconstitute itself, as it did indeed pull a Biollante at the end of the film.
4. I find it interesting that you're trying to blend the timelines. The millennium era would make that largely impossible since that era was one where each film was set in it's own alternate reality with only two exceptions, namely GxMG and Tokyo SOS, as these two films were a duology and appeared to be partially tied to the Showa era. All the other films in the Millennium era jump off the original 1954 film as the starting point, but otherwise ignore the Showa and Heisei eras. The Heisei era also ignores the Showa era aside from the 1954 original as well.
5. Destoroyah shouldn't remember anything if this is a new version, which it would logically have to be since the original was killed by the combined efforts of Godzilla and the Super X-III, near the end of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.
5. Jr. himself, if you're using him as this particular version of Godzilla, did not appear in the Millennium series, though some have suggested that the film Final Wars may have originally been written as further adventures for Jr. but this was supposedly scrapped but written somewhat ambiguously so that you could argue that Jr. is the Godzilla seen in Final Wars. However the actual intention of it being Jr. for real was dropped long before the film was actually shot.
6. In any case, I will give this a look through and see whether or not I like it enough to keep reading it.
1051911 Well with unleashed ideals, all monsters are alive. I want that, that is why I'm running factions.
Just going to point this out and this is for everyone. Nothing you say will change the way I'm building this timeline. I may dissect several well established ideas, but I don't care. I frankly don't like being told I'm wrong, and while I will be wrong a lot... like a lot... very much. I will fight for my ideals and visions. I have been with Godzilla since I was less than 2 months old.. He is a foundation in my life so I will not do anything to intentionally harm his image. If anything my ideas to change events and link them are encouraged by the Millennium. I will create my own timeline my own set of rules, my own universe. Why? Because I love Godzilla and this is how I want the Godzilla universe to be.
also, Destoroyah was never shown to be entirely dead if I remember right. and we know that he can do that whole, break apart thing. if even one of the smaller ones managed to get away....*hint hint*
1052574 I know, thank you for the support. I was actually going to use that, also in the manga Destoroyah's head detaches right before he is frozen. It fires one last time oxygen destroyer ray before vanishing in the icy mist.
You do Godzilla justice in this story and I'm glad to see he has back up(even though he can handle anything thrown at him). I also like that you have Kiryu in the story and hope to see an epic two vs. two battle with Godzilla and Kiryu fighting, say King Ghidorah and Destoroyah/Gigan?
Also SpaceGodzilla is using pinkie, and has her chew on his spines in attempt to eat him? That sounds more like Orga to me since he tried to eat Godzilla.
1054833 No, I'm afraid you've gotten it wrong. Space Godzilla's plan's are different, the chewing has a purpose though. Good guess, but Orga is busy doing something else.
So is there going to be Death Ghidorah (or Desghidorah, whichever name), since you're bringing in a Mothra villain? What about Dagahra? Furthermore, which mothra are we going to have here? There's a lot to choose from.
1070217 Des is going to appear along with the other Ghidorah, no I didn't much like Dagahra. Leo, however his mother will be talked about. Any monsters I don't bring along are either weak without a lot of outside help (Bagan) or died/disappeared in the long centuries since the winter hit. On that note some of those monsters will appear farther chapters than the rest, and have just been doing something that builds their own personality. I'm trying to give each monster ideals and goals.
What's wrong with giving them new powers and weapons? Toho does that all the time, with Godzilla's nuclear shockwave, Mothra's stingers, and Ghidorah's tazer-bite and wing shield. Speaking of Bagan, what about the other unused Toho creations?
1072939 I never said I wouldn't give them new powers, with Bagan everyone wants me to put him as the all powerful super monster from "Super Godzilla". He only got that way because of his alien masters not of his own accord. If I bring him in I'd use something more along the line of a critical mass transfer from Space Godzilla. Gigan's new load out should be a clear way point for what I'm going to be doing. I don't much care for the unused characters, call it irritation of the unknown. I want to build up on old relations, revenge, family ties, love, I'm bringing in Komodithrax along with Zilla. I'm also mutating the concept and function of the factions. In unleashed it was a way to keep strong monsters from targeting you immediately. In my universe the factions are not cut and dry, mutants will side with earth defenders if their interests meet. The same is that of the aliens and mutant faction. However GDF and Earth Defender will never side with Aliens, but will try peaceful solutions. Each faction will run by different principles, and each will be lead by a G-cell host.
OOH, does that mean Godzilla gets a love interest?
Ah, so Earth Defenders are lead by Godzilla, Mutants are lead by Space Godzilla, G-Force lead by Kiryu, and Aliens lead by....Orga? Also, we know they're aliens, but why don't they call themselves by their actual name? (Kilaaks, Xillians, Vortaak, Space Hunter Nebula M, etc.)
So King Ghidorah is already dead in this universe? And you're bringing in the "Unleashed" factions?!?
1051279 No King Ghidorah is alive and well, alsoo his father Grand king. factions make me feel happy like there are leaders and ranks. the Kiryu talking about King Ghidorah is a reference to a past event which will be told in the next chapter.
... So many appearances. I love you. Better get Anguirus and Rodan in this story, Godzilla needs his wing men to complete this mega swag of his.
1051349 Oh the entire Earth Defender group is going to be in here. As well as the other factions.
Nice chapter, minus some grammatical errors.

hey Man, Godzilla is the best Movie character of all time. Also, I did not now there was a manga about it. huh.
1052725 Yeah I stumbled upon it when I was forming my answer to the Bagan input.

neat. can it be read entirely online?
