6800707 I've seen stories rated M for just their dark undertones. I keep the mature filter off, because a lot of Fallout: Equestria stories are M rated, along with some other great stories here. I just was asking him when to skip and where to skip to.
6800728 6800707 It's rated M mostly because of the possible outcomes of the story, and also on a side note, because of the dark undertone - international traffic, black market, drugs, etc.
6800762 Let's look at video games for a minute here. Battlefield 4 has an ESRB rating of 17+ for "intense violence, strong language and blood and gore." Even if it doesn't have gore, as Pedro Hander said in response to a different comment of mine, this is rated M for
international traffic, black market, drugs, etc.
While this doesn't have gore or sex, I believe thatß worth an M.
6800829 e621.net is a website where you can share art. Drawings, animations, and even flash games. They have a very simple rating system. S, Q, and E. S means safe, you don't need to worry about viewing it because it won't include genitalia, blood and guts, or anything of the like. Q means questionable, it looks rather strange what's going on, or maybe some dialogue isn't very "safe" for public. E means explicit, anything with E has genitalia, sex, gore, killing, or extreme violence. It isn't that simple on fimfiction, but it'd be nice if it was.
6801057 It could never be that simple because you can judge how "safe" art and videos are by what you see and hear, but stories here can have much more depth than any flash game could. Because of that it needs to be a bit more complex.
So I finally gave it a read, after my 12 or so comments to clarify a few things, and, well I am enjoying so far. You said not everything should make sense right now, so here is what I picked up; (Spoilers for chapter Lilac Wine) Daniel Graff, our protagonist, is a human in Lower Canterlot, which is where all the lowlifes, drug addicts and poor people live, with a higher crime rate. Daniel fled Earth due to some war or something, and went to Equestria. His bar tender/possible aquantiance is likely a part of some criminal activity. He is targeted by Fleur de Lis, who wanted him dead, and is probably working for someone, the mafia or something. Her estate is blown up and her trap to, quote "Eliminate" Daniel Graff ends in failure, along with her cover being possibly blown. This is an interesting story, I look forward to more. These comments also help me get my thoughts of the chapter together, so I will continue them. Hopefully this can also spur some discussion down here.
The sex tag worries me. Any warnings?
6800608 It's got to be rated M for something mate.

6800728 Oh, alright. That's understandable. Although, don't you think this would be "dark" "gore" or something else if it was rated M for that?
6800740
Okay, I will feel a bit better having this in vy favorite box.

6800790 I see. It's a lot simpler on e621, although it'd never be THAT simple with multiple stories.
6800794
Okay, but what even is E621?
This is an interesting one, I'll give it a read asap!
6800829 On E621?
Porn.
Lots of it.

Oh.

Fleur de lis hunting humans??
Noice
I read that several times trying to figure out what termonuclear means but then I realised you're missing the 'h'. Thermonuclear.

6802054 Oh, shit. Thanks for pointing that out!
6802086 I know, I understand that stories could never be as simple.
