[Displaced Story] A man, forced into the role of a Displaced after attending a Dark Souls convention, is sent to the land of Equestria by the Merchant. His fate, and possibly that of Equestria, is now in his hands.
I would have figured that rainbow would have attacked before Pinkie would have had a chance to do her hello thing, interesting but there is the AU tag so she MIGHT be intelligent this time around.
Your doing it right my friend, my friend, Bluemoon865, has a displaced Dark Souls guy too, but he's still without his memories. If you find a story called Displaced Soul, do give it a try, Alvis quite the charmer when it comes to the princesses, especially considering the fact that he's married to the sisters.
6826070 Well thank you, but I do believe my story pales in comparison to this one. This story fits the feel of Dark Souls exactly, something I still can't seem to grasp yet. You, my dear Nova, are an excellent writer, though tis good that you realize you aren't the best, as nobody is the best. Humbleness is a hard thing to come by. If you wish, we can swap ideas every now and then, mayhaps simply talk about our other stories. Or perhaps another thing...an offer. For later, that is. Or soon, depends on what you wish.
If by "offer," you mean an offer for a crossover, then I'd be more than happy to do a crossover. As soon as I get to the appropriate point in the story, that is.
Also, I was going for a general "Lovecraft-inspired" horror style, with all the fancy words and what-not. So could you please explain how my story fits Dark Souls exactly? I understand that, of course, it's a Dark Souls story, but the rest of it isn't exactly what I would believe to be like Dark Souls. Is it my primary focus on description and setting rather than actual dialogue like in the games, or is it something else?
I am confuzzled, and I am a dolt. Please explain for my tiny brain to comprehend.
6830572 Yes actually, among other things like the, as my editor put it, "silent brutality". And, yes, I do mean a crossover, though I'd have to check with my frind first, as we are still in the middle of a crossover and I need to know what he would think if we did a joined crossover.
6830621 6830572 Mister Cee generally does not care, whatever happens, happens. He has only two opinions; I think I can kill that thing and I don't care, I'm killing that thing.
Well, the crossover would have to wait until I at least get to the third or fourth chapter (as in third or fourth that isn't the prologue), since I want to get introductions between my Displaced and the Equestrians & what not out of the way first.
When I DO get to that point, I'll contact you guys. Sorry if you MIGH have to wait a while, since real life and writing tend not to mix well.
Actually, after thinking about it, our crossover COULD take place sometime in my Displaced's future. It'd certainly fit the whole theme of "time is distorted in Lordran/Drangleic" in the Souls series. So, what do you say about that? We can get started on planning the whole thing whenever you're ready.
I'll also be PMing you in case that the site screws up somehow and doesn't show this reply to you.
No. I just have college life and personal life to worry about, as well as working on other stories with two fellow Displaced writers and another non-FIMfiction story.
