chapter 2 the meeting

The past 3 days were a bit of a blur for Fluttershy. She was constantly getting ready for Chime Tuner, learning about sophistication from Rarity, trying out new clothes, and telling all there was to know about Chime Tuner to her friends.
And yet one thing bothered her. What would Discord do if Chime Tuner accidentally judged him? Or even worse, what if he did it on purpose? what if-

"Fluttershy are you all right?" Rarity asked.
Fluttershy remembered that she was at Rarity's boutique, trying to fit her new clothes on. She took a deep berth then smiled.

"Of course,” she answered. “I’m just a little nervous."

"Alright. So, how do you like your new design?"

Fluttershy looked at herself in the mirror. She wore black pants and a white shirt. She wore her hair up in a bun with a butterfly comb to hold it in place. Then, for the finishing touch, she wore a pink scarf with blue polka dots on the edge.

"I like it, but.... it doesn't seem to like me," Fluttershy said.

"I know, Fluttershy, but if you want to impress your big brother, then you need to wear this."

"I know," Fluttershy replied

“Now then,” Rarity said, walking to her “Book of Formality” and opened it up.

“What have you learn?” Rarity asked.

“Oh, um, well,” Fluttershy mumbled.

Suddenly, Fluttershy began to sing with grace in her voice:

“You must walk feminine

Talk feminine

Smile and beguile feminine

Utilize your femininity

That’s what every girl should know if she wants to catch a beau

“Good but sing a little louder.” Rarity said, Fluttershy nodded and began to sing again but this time louder

“Dance feminine

Glance feminine

Act shy and sigh feminine

Compliment his masculinity

That’s what every girl should know if she wants to catch a beau”

Fluttershy got stuck on what happens next Rarity being a friend helped sing the next part of the song

“Let him do the talking

Med adore good listeners.”

Now Fluttershy remembered the rest of the song and was sinning along

Laugh but not loudly (Haha)

If he should choose to tell a joke.

Be radiant but delicate

Memorize the rules of etiquette.

Be demure sweet and pure

Hide the real you,

You must look feminine

Dress feminine

You’re at your best feminine

Emphasize your femininity

That’s what every girl should know.

Femininity, femininity

That’s the way to catch a beau.”

Once she was done with the song, the two ponies bowed to each other and exited the room to the downstairs where the rest of the ponies were waiting.

Once the six girls were at the train station, five of them sat on a bench, waiting for the posh pony to come. But Fluttershy kept standing and paced in front of them. The five ponies could see she had sweat all over her face.

"It’s a good thing you didn't put makeup on her face," Twilight said.

"I wanted to, but it's such a hot day and I thought she would sweat,” Rarity answered.

"Then why are you wearing makeup?" Apple Jack asked.

"Oh silly, that's why I brought my parasol."

Rarity then popped open her umbrella.

After a few minutes, Fluttershy saw the train coming and within seconds, the train had stopped at the station. She tried to hide behind her friends, but to no avail.

"Fluttershy?" a familiar voice called out.

Fluttershy pulled apart her hoofs on her eyes.

"Y-y-yes?"She stuttered.

As she looked, she saw a gray Pegasus that had nice blue hair with gray streaks in it. His cutie mark was a wind chime and with notes all around it.

"Is it really you?" asked the Pegasus.

"Yes..."

He shook his head in realization.

"Oh. It's nice to see a Pegasus who is afraid of heights once in a while... Anyway, where is that cottage of yours?"

"So much for manners," Rarity whispered to Apple Jack.

"Oh, yes of course... It's down that path way. “Fluttershy answered, pointing down the road.

"Alright then,” he said. “Thorn, bring my stuff."

"Yes sir, coming sir," said a voice from the train.

But to the six ponies surprise, the voice belong to not a pony, but a dragon; one a little taller than spike. She had red and yellow scales and wore a little pendent around her neck that was in the shape of a heart.
Twilight couldn't help but notice Spike was blushing very hard.

"Is that all my luggage?" asked Chime Tuner.

"Yes sir,” replied the dragon.

"Good, now please, go get my instruments."

"Right away, sir," Thorn answered as she ran to get her Master’s bags; each filled with chimes.

“Chime Tuner, if I may ask, when did you get a dragon?” Fluttershy asked confused.

“I got her when I first left for Manehattan. Why do you ask?”

“Oh, just wondering I suppose.”

“I see. Shouldn’t we get going now?” Chime asked.

“Yes, of course. Here, let me help you with that.” Fluttershy insisted.

But to her surprise, Chime Tuner grabbed the bag in front of him before she could even reach for it.

“No, no, it’s quiet all right. Besides, I wouldn’t want you to touch it.” Chime responded.

At that point, Fluttershy’s friends were red with rage. Fluttershy calmed them down by mouthing it was all right, then went back to Chime Tuner’s side.

“So, where do we go first?” she asked.

“Why, to your house, of course,” he replied.

Fluttershy looked puzzled.

“But don’t we want to leave your instruments at your new store?” she asked

“WHAT?! AND LEAVE MY POOR, POOR BABIES IN AN OLD, TACKY STORE?! ALONE IN THE DARK?! NEVER!! HONESTLY FLUTTERSHY!! I NEVER KNEW YOU WOULD STEAP SO LOW!!!” Chime Tuner screamed.

“Um… sorry?” Fluttershy whimpered.

“You should be,” He calmly said, still fuming.

“Now then, shall we be on our way?” Chime asked.

“Oh, of course,” Fluttershy mumbled.

Then after her reply, the seven ponies and two dragons left for the cottage. They did not notice the three pairs of glowing eyes in the forest were watching them.

OK first off before I start this I want to apologize for the sloppy grammar and stuff. as you can tell I will be apologizing for that a lot, but anyways let's get to the point. if you have read chapter 1 of Once Upon a Youth and Beauty(and you will get why i called it that later in the book.)then you would know that I put a song called when she loved me from toy story 2(or in this case when he loved me)but anyways the reason why I did that is because I am going to put 1 or 2 songs in each chapter like:

I likes! But that Chime Turner doe! I can see that this visit is gonna be bad.. XD Poor Fluttershy, hopefully shes survives! Great story so far i'm lovin' this so much! Can't wait for the next chapter hehe!
