Exactly. But don't forget, the speaking bring in their own forms of learning and specialization. I've implied that Diamond Dogs have incredible skills with mundane and magical geology, by necessity. As well as math and engineering.
Yeah, they'd have to, to live/work in those tunnels all the time and mine with such success. I'm assuming they did just fine without Rarity, loooong before then, and the only reason they grabbed her is because locating the veins is still a bit hit and miss. That has no bearing on functioning tunnels, equipment, and general safety. In particular, learning how to deal with underground water, cave-ins, and toxic gases. Removing any underground streams at certain depths would require some complex pumps that can deal with differences in air pressure or atmospheric pressure. I can't even remember which one it is right now. Maybe it's both?
Sorry, I should have clarified that I meant the Diamond Dogs, as an example, would have their own doctors and medical knowledge. So the ponies wouldn't think having ponies trained in that physiology would matter, unless the Diamond Dogs said otherwise. Which they probably would over time, since living in a pony settlement would mean no direct access to one of their own doctors, meaning they'd have to visit a Diamond Dog settlement for treatment, unless the pony vets could handle it. Same for Minotaurs, Griffons, and any other creature.
It's good my fans point out corrections that need to get done. It helps. But nothing wounds me more to think that someone read a story I worked on with all my focus and their only comment is to note a mistake. It's a double-edged sword.
There are literally four unpublished chapters waiting for corrections to be posted at regular intervals, and I'm putting down about 2000 words a day on new chapters. I should be done in about two weeks.
Nice cover picture for the story. Classic.

Exactly. That would also come with trade. Each would learn the physiology of the other.

If only I could have used more. I love how he draws things, and he did a great Fake Power Ponies cover. How she has Hum Drum is almost accurate.

You mix up hands and hooves.
aim his crotch. aim her crotch.
mil. milk.
their packs. their backs.
I was not expecting those two to go all slap, slap, kiss.

Let me get at this.
Also, it's more reflection of my fascination with jocks and nerds.
