5901298 You don't ask a woman how much she is per hour, that's making an assumption. You would have to first ask what her occupation is, but that means that you are looking for the answer. Better to see her work so you know the answer without looking creepy.
5901355 While your reasoning is sound, your application is not. There is nothing shameful, embarrassing or creepy in asking what nationality someone is, especially when the only known means of communication is words on a screen.
5901383 I know, I was just trying to be weird. I was also pointing out that the question never came to mind. I went to the 'extreme' to point out the unlikeliness of the thought in this context. I am just a reader of a story, it does not really come to mind to ask the author what nationality they are.
Lest we forget the sacrifices of our forefathers so that we might live in a world without war, so that their sons could be farmers, so their sons could be poets. I am a New Zealander and Proud of it.
6027412 A HF blade would be useless. The Sword of Aeons was crafted by the Queen of Blades in the Void USING the Void. It's indestructible outside the Void, so long as the Void exists, as the Sword contains a miniscule portion of the pure essence of the Void. Same goes with Jack's armour, but too a lesser extent(can be damaged, but never destroyed outside the Void).
Raiden would slash away at Jack until Jack got bored and shatters the HF blade. If Raiden were using Sam's Muramasa, it would leave scratches on Jack's armour and piss him off to the point where Jack would snap the blade from the hilt before ripping Raiden's head off with his bare hands.
60275686027594 Ah. okay. Mybad about the King of Blades part. Been a while since I looked up Jack's history. and I was so focused on reading, I didn't look to see if my comments were being replied to Tis awesome so far. I think this fic actually rekindled my love for Fable. Probably going to start playing the Anniversary tomorrow, if there isn't a new chapter.
6027684 Makes sense. I am a very patient person. Mostly because I have three younger siblings who have yet to learn patience themselves. that, and many hours of Zelda, and Metroid Prime have helped.
6027741 Crash Bandicoot? I know of the series, but never played/owned any of the games. Hmm.....Maybe I should try getting my hands on one. Anyway, I'ma go to bed. it's midnight, and I have to get a load of dishes running before I crash. Don't really wanna forget to do that.
6027753 You can get Crash 1,2, 3 and Crash Team Racing off of PSN. God knows that it was one of the best PS1 games ever. A Grand-daddy platformer nowadays and the first video game I ever played. Followed by Spyro and Banjo-Kazooie.
6027412 Any common HF blade? Probably not. Sam's? That's a different matter. Passed down through his family, seeing a great deal of combat & bloodshed and playing a pivotal in steering the course of history would (if memory serves) give it a fairly similar history to that of the Sword of Aeons. It would come down to a test of magic vs. machine.
Also I was genuinely shocked and even a tad disappointed that, given the sense of humor showcased at various points throughout the game, they never got in a joke like that.
6028086I'll just copy and paste what I told Blade Wolf.
The Sword of Aeons was crafted by the Queen of Blades in the Void USING the Void. It's indestructible outside the Void, so long as the Void exists, as the Sword contains a miniscule portion of the pure essence of the Void.
The only way Sam's Muramasa would overcome the Sword of Aeons is if they fought in the Void, where Jack would have a default advantage of having come from the Void
the Council of Blades came from the Void to Albion and led the people with a cruel and merciless display of superiority. The Archons were the first to rebel and as punishment, the Council of Blades set into motion a purge of the world itself, destroying the culture that crafted the Master class weapons of Fable . However, before the could finish said purge, the last Archon travelled into the Void and defeated the Knight of Blades. Upon his defeat, the Queen of Blades took up the Sword of Aeons and went to fight the last Archon, the resulting battle levelling mountains and razing plains in Albion, and upon her defeat, which prompted Jack to bind his soul to his mask, lost the Sword of Aeons to the last Archon, who then used it to strike down Jack himself, who was the ONLY one among them with the power to open the rift between the Void and the world, and sealed himself within the Void, but not before Jack cast his Mask into Albion.
Sealed in the Void, the last Archon went mad and then sane a few times, before Jack re-opened his connection to the Void, so he might retrieve the Masks of the Queen and Knight of Blades, which he now carries tied to his sash, thus allowing the now deformed Archon back into the world, having taken up the name Scythe.
6028142 Okay. I don't remember any of that. Was that from Fable 3 or did I just overlook a lot of lore from the first two games? Because I'm a bit of a lore whore and knowing I missed that much is an almost physical pain.
6028340 Damn you, Molyneux! Every time! You fuck me every time!
*sigh* At least it's not as bad as the Halo retcon. Didn't read the last of the hard-to-find books? Well then Halo 4 isn't going to make much sense if you've been paying even the slightest attention to the story presented in the games and earlier books.
Still alive!!!!!
yay
5901182 Of course it is! It's just slowed to a crawl while I deal with some things.
Australian confirmed.
5901290 I'd have confirmed earlier, if you'd asked.

It's ANZAC day as I read this
Lest we forget

How many people read this and did not know what happened?
That bugle...
5903080 Apparently one.
Not you.
5903101 What about it?
Lest we forget the sacrifices of our forefathers so that we might live in a world without war, so that their sons could be farmers, so their sons could be poets. I am a New Zealander and Proud of it.

I tear up when I hear them...
6027346 There was no King. if there were, Jack would have three masks tied to his sash.
6027412 A HF blade would be useless. The Sword of Aeons was crafted by the Queen of Blades in the Void USING the Void. It's indestructible outside the Void, so long as the Void exists, as the Sword contains a miniscule portion of the pure essence of the Void.

6027561 You are correct. For the most part of the thousand year ago sequences, the mask is receiving interference from the amulet.

6027656 The new chapter is at a slow crawl for two upcoming fics and RL.
6027684
Makes sense. I am a very patient person. Mostly because I have three younger siblings who have yet to learn patience themselves. that, and many hours of Zelda, and Metroid Prime have helped.
6027694 Zelda'll do that to you. Not as much as the first Crash Bandicoot, though.
God knows that taught patience.
6027741

6028098
What?Oh. Right. The in-story canon. Sorry. I was thinking purely in terms of Fable.
6028099 No, it's Fable canon.
the Council of Blades came from the Void to Albion and led the people with a cruel and merciless display of superiority. The Archons were the first to rebel and as punishment, the Council of Blades set into motion a purge of the world itself, destroying the culture that crafted the Master class weapons of Fable .

6028250 Actually, its from a book called Tales of Albion, which Lion Head Studios recognised as canon.
Rather hard to find.
6028340
Damn you, Molyneux! Every time! You fuck me every time!

6028502 That's why I stopped bothering with the Halo storyline.
At least with Tales of Albion, it's pretty much entirely back-story.
6028142
Ooh~ Scythe is William Black? That's cool! So pretty much, The Hero of Oakvale got to chat a couple times with his ancestor!
6028891 On the wiki there's even details.
Also, Fable 2's Hero meets his/her Great something aunt.
6029118
Yep. I've beaten all the fable games except for The Journey. That one just looks dumb.
6029284 I only have the Journey because it came with my Kinect.
It sucks and makes no sense.
So about the next chapter
6273557 Slowly coming along.
...
Very slowly.
