It was a good character it be funny after Rainbow dash is fully transforms she now hates Flutterbat for what she did for all eternity I know I would if I was her.:
You know I was fine with Fluttershy....I mean Flutterbat's raping of AJ, she pretty much had it coming. I liked the part where AJ was worried and FB converted her, but all that seems to have completely gone out of the window here! How's Flutterbat supposed to prevent AJ from assaulting other ponies if she can't stop herself? I get that's kinda the point here, but come on! Might as well completely remove that bit from the last chapter since there's no way on Equestria Rarity, Pinkie Pie, or Twilight are going to be able to stop FB. OK twilight stands a better chance than the other 2, but by then AJ and possible RD should have turned into Vamponies and outnumber twilight.
4041437 I don't have a definite plan for exactly how the ending will occur, nor do I know when such will be published, due to real life issues, but I think you have a good enough idea of where it's going that you're correct in most of your assumptions. The first chapter was originally going to be a oneshot, so I suppose some elements of the first chapter do need to be changed to fit future events. I'll see if I can find a way to edit it to fit better. Thanks for pointing this out.
4045743 No problem, one of my hints that Flutterbat isn't going to be able to control herself is the fact that she didn't turn regretful or anything at the end of raping Rainbow Dash.
Heh. Maybe as a bit of a subversion, Rarity could be extremely enthusiastic about being turned into a vampire. Blame it on all the trashy novels she reads. coughtwilightcough
4220012 Didn't know anything about that, but that's some fun info to know. Nature works in very strange ways sometimes. Unfortunately, Applejack does not have an insectoid "genital shield", though I could see changelings possibly having them. If you want my response to your rhetorical plotholes, I'll say you're probably right in your claims, and that the story is pushing things a bit. But keeping in mind we aren't dealing with normal equines or normal bats, but rather, cartoon ponies with respiratory systems changed so they can speak like humans, and "vampire" bats with varying mythologies, I really don't see those as problems that would cause the narrative to become unbelievable (if talking horses with wings and magic doesn't already).
4222120 The genital shield is just a metaphor for resistance/refusal. The analogy remains unchanged - the "die honorably" scenario is still very thought-provoking.
I am convinced about the altered respiratory system, but not the cold-blooded vampire bat.
The mythical creatures known as vampires cannot be cold blooded. Cold blooded animals are not always cold, and even actually constantly warm depending on the specific method they use (gigantothermy, poikilothermy, kleptothermy.) Vampires are supposed to be constantly cold, and being warm half the time due to being cold blooded would not make much sense.
Since one of the main methods of ectotherms use to regulate their body temperature is sunlight, vampires would be out of luck there.
Also, being an ectotherm would suggest that they need to regulate their body temperature to facilitate their metabolism. Since vampires are undead creatures without flowing blood, this is completely unnecessary.
Remember - being cold blooded does not necessarily mean you are cold, it just means you use external means of regulating your body temperature.
4226196 Again, you're probably right. I'm no expert here in terms of how both cold-blooded or warm-blooded creatures work. I don't think I ever tried to imply that Flutterbat's now cold-blooded anyway, though. If I did imply such, though, it's probably my bad. As you mentioned, Vampires are usually mythological classified as undead, and fairly impossible. The concept of sustaining oneself through blood alone is rather iffy, not to mention sunlight burning, inhuman strength and physical attributes, and growing fangs (and in this case, new wings even). Given that, I think it's reasonable to assume vampire anatomy and bodily systems function with no small amount of magic or abnormal means. If they even have fluids to work their body, perhaps they aren't based on water? If you think being cold-blooded isn't a possible explanation, then there are plenty of other options, given the diverseness of fiction. I'd hate to say everything's explained by magic being involved, but the supernatural most certainly is involved, and that opens up possibilities, especially considering this takes place in Equestria, where magic and mythical creatures are somewhat commonplace. I don't think I can properly defend this argument with what I've got, and you're probably right, but still, I certainly hope this isn't detrimental to the narrative.
4226729 Oops, I accidently went too much into vampires; I meant to focus only on the vampire-bat.
#1. The folklore vampire without flowing blood in mythical tales is not the one that Fluttershy turned into. Flutterbat still has flowing blood since bats are mammals.
#2. The 3 genus of vampire bat exists in nature and sustain themself solely on blood.
In the mlp episode "Bats", the term "vampire fruit bats" is often associated by fans to #1 or #2. However, the way I interpret it (aka my opinion), the main adjective here is "fruit". The secondary adjective "vampire" only describes how they eat fruits and a metaphor that the "blood" (aka juice) of the apple is sucked dry. It is to distinguish between the fruit bats that appear in the episode "Apple Family Reunion" and the vampire fruit bats (relatives of fruit bats). source: mlp wiki
I feel like I'm saying too much just to say that Futabat can have a boner by normal means without sucking blood, my apologies.
4228358 I could go into a lengthy discussion about how the diet of any certain bat shouldn't determine how it's reproduction system works, or about how I don't necessarily have to base my narrative interpretation of vampires off historical or realistic sources, but, to be honest, you're probably right yet again. For hell's sake, I guess that just makes this story an alternate universe sort of thing that's deviating from the canon and logical things so much that it has to be so. I dunno if that means I have to change story tags or the description or anything, but at this point, I think I'm a little far into the story to go back and change major things just like that.
All hail.
Well
That was interesting
wwoooo update i wonder who will be next
